Eastenders actress Patsy Palmer has revealed that she was bullied as a child because of the colour of her hair.

Speaking to BBC Newsbeat Palmer admitted:

“I was picked on because I had ginger hair so I was obviously different from the other kids.

“I didn’t have a lot of friends in school and I felt really scared. So I would lie to mum and tell her I felt ill all the time.

Eastenders actress Patsy Palmer has opened up about her battle with depression and admitted that her past experiences have “probably a bit over-sensitive” about her children’s mental health.

“It was quite a few years ago, when I was working at EastEnders before, and I wanted to change my life for the better, become healthier, stop drinking, stop the party lifestyle,” she said on the BBC’s Missing Live programme.

There has recently been speculation that the BBC are considering bringing Danniella Westbrook back into Eastenders as Sam Mitchell.

Although sources have denied that plans are afoot, actress Patsy Plamer admitted that she would love to see Daniella back on set.

MSN quote Patsy as saying: “It would be lovely for her to come back and just personally for her to get back to work and be doing stuff would be great, because she looks so fantastic.”

Eastenders actress, Patsy Palmer, is said to be begging show bosses to bring back the rest of her on screen family, most of whom left the show more than a decade ago.

Patsy, 35, who returned to the show as Bianca Jackson last year, said: “I’d love to see Bianca’s mum Carol return, and it’d be amazing to have Simon and David Wicks back, too.”

I think she might be on to something there…..
