In light of the recent trend of celebrities being named, arrested or questioned on suspicion of historic sexual abuse, TV presenter Paul O’Grady has offered his opinion on the matter.
Alleged victims of these crimes started to come forward after an ITV Exposure documentary suggesting that former Top Of The Pops presenter, Jimmy Savile, had abused a string of underage girls during the three decades he was in the public spotlight.

Another victim in the Jimmy Savile case has come forward claiming that not only was she molested by the former Top Of The Pops star from the age of 11, but that the abuse took place in a hospital chapel, during mass!
According to reports in today’s Sun newspaper, Savile, who has been accused of child abuse spanning 6 decades after a recent Channel 4 Exposure programme highlighted his paedophilic behaviour, would prey on Samantha Brown in a room behind the congregation, whilst leaving the door open so he could still watch the priests service!

Recent reports about Coronation Street musical Street of Dreams have revealed that the show has been dogged by problems, including cancelled performances, staff unrest and technical issues.
It was also reported that narrator Paul O’Grady had been fired from the production after criticizing the company behind the show, and allegedly ad-libbing while on stage.
In addition, Katy Cavanagh, who played the role of The Angel of the North in the musical – and who plays Julie Carp in the regular show – pulled out of the production claiming that she was “unhappy” with a number of aspects of the show.
However, The Stage reports today that composer Trisha Ward has said that not only will the show most definitely go on, but that she expects it to be “a box office hit.”

Comedian Paul O’Grady has reportedly been sacked as the narrator of Coronation Street’s musical, Street of Dreams.
The Daily Star reports that Paul, who narrates the musical, was fired after he “ad-libbed” lines and became a “nightmare to work with.”
A source close to the production told the paper, “Paul changed the script and refused to say certain lines.
“He was a nightmare to work with in the end. The first 10 minutes of the play turned into The Paul O’Grady Show.
“This is a huge production [and] it was decided that Paul should be replaced.
“He didn’t take the news very well and decided to make a number of wild accusations…” Read more & comment »

Fans of Paul O’Grady were gutted when it was announced that his hugely popular show, Paul O’Grady Live, was to end after its current run…
However, while speaking to the Daily Mirror, Paul revealed that although he’s enjoyed his time on the show, he’s grown weary of chatting to guests who, he says, “weren’t coming on for a chat, they were plugging a book or a film or a TV show.”
And Paul, who is of course already working on his next project, which is narrating the Corrie musical, Street of Dreams, added, “I really, really don’t want to do any more chat shows, to be honest with you…

It’s been reported today that comic Paul O’Grady’s Friday night show, Paul O’Grady Live, has been axed amid rumours that Paul may take a judging role on this year’s Britain’s Got Talent.
The Sun states that ITV had originally planned for a third series of Paul’s show to air this year, but they have now changed their minds.
Speaking of O’Grady’s series, a source told The Sun’s TV Biz, “The show was good and they were pleased with it but it just didn’t pull its weight in the ratings.

Paul O’Grady has hit out at News Of The Word journalists, after discovering that they may have hacked his phone whilst he was recovering from a heart attack.
The chat show host told The Daily Star that while he was recovering from the life threatening incident, newspaper staff were accessing his voicemail to get details on his health status.
“The f**king b**tards hacked into my phone as I was dying of a heart attack. The cheek!” he blasted.

Vernon Kay has been chosen as the presenter for a revamped series of ‘Through The Keyhole’.
It has been reported that the’All-Star Family Fortunes’ host will front the show on ITV1 with chat show king Paul O’Grady, in which they and a team of celebrities will be allowed to snoop through stars houses for clues on their identity.
A source said: “Vernon and Paul are the top choices to reinvigorate the show. The whole programme had become stuffy and looked and felt dated. This time there will be a lavish studio, amazing celeb houses and a real sense of fun.”

Paul O’Grady is starting to attract some big named stars to his ITV chat show and it has been revealed that next month he will welcome none other than the amazing Lady Gaga.
The Sun reports that the popular American singer will fly in specially to perform four tracks from her new album on the ITV1 show on Friday, June 17.
An insider said: “Lady GaGa ate paper on US chat show host David Letterman’s show, so who knows what will happen when she goes on Paul’s show.

Paul O’Grady has admitted that he could never open a Twitter account, because he doesn’t trust himself not to rant at his followers.
