Former mobile phone salesman turned number one singer Paul Potts is to be the subject of an exclusive ITV1 documentary, Paul Potts: By Royal Command.

This one off documentary will give an exclusive insight into how Paul’s life has changed since he walked onto the Britain’s Got Talent stage in Cardiff and performed Nessun Dorma in front of judges Simon Cowell, Piers Morgan and Amanda Holden. The show will document his triumph over adversity from being on the brink of bankruptcy to achieving international success on the back of one audition.

Working as a salesman at the Carphone Warehouse, Paul had always dreamt of becoming an opera singer, but following bouts of illness, a bad bike accident and huge debts of £30k, Paul’s confidence was at an all-time low and he was ready to give up.
