Fans of Corrie will of course know that Kylie Platt is pregnant, however, after she had a one night stand with her brother-in-law Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) she doesn’t know if he is the father of the baby, or if the child is her husband, David Platt’s (Jack P Shepherd).

And Paula Lane, who plays Kylie, has revealed that she’s torn as to which of the men she hopes turns out to be the baby’s daddy.

As fans of Coronation Street will know, the whole Nick Tilsley and Leanne Barlow storyline took a surprising turn earlier this week when Nick (Ben Price) finally admitted that regardless of how humiliated he was by Leanne offering her ex-husband Peter (Chris Gascoyne) one last chance to reunite with her – on what should have been her and Nick’s Christmas Day wedding – he still loves her and still wants to be with her…

So he accepted her marriage proposal, and the pair will finally tie the knot tonight! However, whether it’s to be a happy ever after fairytale for the couple remains to be seen, but given this is soap land, that would seem an unlikely scenario.

In Friday’s visit to Coronation Street, when Eva Price (Catherine Tyldesley) finds her BFF Kylie Platt teary eyed and alone on the bench outside Audrey’s hairdressing salon, she of course wants to know what’s wrong…

And despite knowing that Eva can’t keep a secret – in fact, she’s rapidly earning the title Super Gob – Kylie (Paula Lane) confides in her that she’s pregnant, but she swears her to secrecy, warning that she hasn’t decided if she’s going to go through with the pregnancy or not.

However, a tad worse for wear, Eva congratulates Kylie and tells her “This could be the best thing you ever do” while noting “Ah, there’s a little David in there.”

The Platt family are set for an unhappy Christmas in Coronation Street, as the Sun newspaper reports that Kylie will cheat on David on Boxing Day with a one night stand.

Fans of Corrie will know in last night’s trip to Weatherfield, we saw Kylie Platt confessing to hubby David that although she agreed that they should try for a baby, she has in fact not stopped taking her contraceptive pill.

A furious David was not appeased as Kylie tried to explain that she’s happy in her work, and having been promoted recently, she’s not ready to give it all up in order to become a mum again.

However, David didn’t take the news well, and stormed off to cry on his former lover Tina McIntyre’s shoulder…

And having had a few too many, David (Jack P Shepherd) passed out on Tina’s (Michelle Keegan) couch, but in Monday’s episode, when both Tommy (Chris Fountain) and Kylie find out that their respective partners were under the same roof all night, they’ll put two and two together and come up with the wrong conclusion that they must’ve slept together. Coronation Street producer Phil Collinson has teased fans of the show, saying that Christmas on the cobbles will be “amazing!”

Revealing that Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) and Leanne Barlow (Jane Danson) will be at the heart of the festive storylines with a will-they-won’t-they marry plotline, Collinson also revealed that the return of Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) and Carla Connor (Alison King) is set to put the cat among the pigeons with regard to Leanne and Nick’s big day.

He also hinted that there’s a very big yuletide storyline for the Platt family, saying that “a dark secret” will be exposed, and when it is, it could “blow the Platts apart.”

And while speaking to the Daily Star, Paula Lane, who of course plays feisty Kylie Platt, has offered further teasers, saying, “I can’t say much, but viewers will see Kylie is trying to up her game in the world.

Ryan Connor is set to dig himself an even bigger hole for himself tonight when he lies to mum Michelle about where he got the cocaine from, causing an almighty Coronation Street brawl!

Fans of the show will know how since his return from Uni, Ryan (Sol Heras) has been on a downward spiral displaying out of control behaviour which has left his poor mum, Michelle (Kym Marsh) in despair.  Things took a sinister twist earlier this week when, after trying to push drugs on Kylie (Paula Lane) he was caught in the Rovers toilets snorting cocaine.

We knew it wouldn’t be long before the relationship between Eva Price and Nick Tilsey went wrong in Coronation Street.  The tell-tale signs of a soap romance about to implode is comfortableness, something the two lovers  have been oozing just lately.

And it would seem the Bistro bubble is about to burst on our screens withing the next two weeks, when Eva gets paranoid that Nick is cheating on her, and exposes him infron of a resteraunt full of people, only to find out she has got the wrong end of the stick.

Coronation Street star Paula Lane has announced via Twitter that she’s staying on the show for at least another year.

She tweeted, “Hi lovelies! Yes I can confirm I’ll be staying on the cobbles for another year.”

And of staying on at Corrie, in an interview with OK Extra, Paula – who of course plays Kylie Platt in Corrie but has also starred in Heartbeat and Casualty – said, “If there are good storylines, then why not stay?”

And of course, Paula’s character Kylie has been involved in several high profile plotlines since she arrived in Weatherfield during the summer of 2010, including ‘selling’ her son Max to her sister Becky McDonald.

Kylie’s current storyline, regarding her battle to stop husband David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) from caving in and signing the salon back to his gran Audrey Roberts (Sue Nicholls) in the wake of her heart attack, will see Kylie and David split up over the whole affair… Read more & comment »

The Virgin London Marathon took place yesterday morning and a host of our favourite soap stars took to the streets of London, to run the gruelling 26 mile course around our capital city all in aid of charity.

From Emmerdale, Jeff Hordley who plays super villain Cain Dingle clocked an impressive time of 3: 31: 19, whilst Tony Audenshaw who plays café owner Bob Hope clocked an equally impressive time of 3:36:15 and managed to break the Guinness World Record for the fastest person dressed a school boy to complete the London Marathon no less! Finally, clocking a slower but still fantastic time of 4:59:08 was Tom Lister, who plays bad boy Carl King in the Yorkshire based soap.
