Mitchell and Webb Want To Keep Making Peep Show

Peep Show

David Mitchell and Robert Webb have revealed that they want to keep making the Channel 4 comedy,Peep Show, into infinity as they believe that show which work so well on TV are rare.

Webb said: “We would like to keep going for as long as we possibly can because it’s rare to find something that works like this.

“There’s lots of ideas for sitcoms but not many of them work. We’ve always wanted to keep going.”

Mitchell added: “I think its a lot harder to come up with an idea for a sitcom that works than keep one going.

“Also look at people’s careers. No one has done eight great sitcoms. The great people have two or three, most people have done none. When you’ve got something that works, use it, or you’ll regret.” Read more & comment »

Peep Show Returns For Fourth Series!

Peep ShowThe multi award-winning and critically acclaimed hit comedy starring David Mitchell and Robert Webb returns to Channel 4 for a fourth series in 2007. The show will air on the 13th April.

Peep Show follows the private world of Mark (David Mitchell) and Jeremy (Robert Webb), two twenty-something flat-mates living in south London.

Mark is the sensible one – a professional brogue wearer with a slightly worrying interest in World War Two. Jeremy is the loose cannon – a lazy waster with dodgy friends – who dreams of becoming a musician but can never get his act together, or up in the morning.

As ever, their deepest, darkest thoughts and feelings are revealed as they try in vain to find their place in the modern world and to find love and fulfilment.

Having proposed by accident to Sophie (Olivia Colman), Mark now faces the horror of having to actually go through with the wedding. Or will he…? And when Jeremy’s beautiful ex ‘visa wife’, Nancy (Rachel Blanchard) unexpectedly turns up again, how far will he go to win her back?

The series also sees Mark spending a horrific weekend with Sophie’s argumentative parents, trying to get his gym instructor sacked (‘he touched me’), and getting involved in a spot of arson. Meanwhile, Jeremy performs some ‘handy’ work for a male pop star (with the emphasis on ‘handy’), does something pretty unspeakable to a dog, and worse of all – sleeps with Sophie’s mother.

If you take a visit to the Peep Show’s myspace page, there are some great videos on the page including a 10 min catch up of
series 1-3 and some signed scripts to be won.
