Channel 4 is planning to follow up the massive success of Peter Kay’s ‘Britain’s Got The Pop Factor’, with a series of special programmes featuring the comedian during the Christmas season.
The highlight, Britain’s Got an Extra Pop Factor and Then Some, is a follow up to Britain’s Got the Pop Factor… and is a retrospective companion piece in the style of The Xtra Factor and It Takes Two. Presented by Ben Shepherd, this one-hour spoof programme features a countdown of the best performances from the series as voted by the ‘viewers’, and exclusive interviews with this year’s winner Geraldine McQueen, as well the chance to hear her new Christmas single Once Upon a Christmas Song. There are more auditions, more music plus a few more surprises.

Peter Kay has shot the video for his Christmas single as transsexual dinner lady Geraldine McQueen.
Kay treated the people of Manchester to the sight of him dressed up as Mother Christmas on a float with dwarfs, elves and a snowman.
After his his spoof reality TV showt aired last week, and scored a number two single this week, the ‘winner’ Geraldine will next be releasing Once Upon a Christmas Song.
An onlooker, who got a preview, told The Sun: “It was so funny. Maybe it’ll even be Christmas number one.”

Gary Barlow has revealed that his children have enjoyed his latest project with Peter Kay as much as he has!
Gary and Peter are collaborating on a track for Peter’s new TV show, ‘Britain’s Got The Pop Factor and Possibly a New Celebrity Jesus Christ Soapstar Superstar Strictly On Ice’.

“He came round to my studio to work at the house recording the song.
“He had my kids doing the Amarillo dance, marching around the room in fits of giggles. His new show is brilliant, so funny.”

British comedian, Peter Kay, is said to be hooking up with Take That star, Gary Barlow to make a spoof Christmas single.
The song is thought to tie into his new TV show ‘Britain’s Got The Pop Factor and Possibly a New Celebrity Jesus Christ Soapstar Superstar Strictly On Ice’, which unsurprisingly will take the p**s out of the reality TV genre.
“Peter and Gary have already put pen to paper. They are good friends and think it would be a laugh to do it,” a source told The Sun. “They are both such popular guys and will be strong contenders in the running for the Christmas No1.”

After the huge success of his comedy show, Max and Paddy, on Channel 4, Peter kay is penning another comedy show. This time he will play a binman…that’s novel!
An insider said: “They were originally thinking of making a film, but are now doing it for TV. It’s really funny.”
Peter and Craig are now in talks with broadcasters.
Peter’s last show Max and Paddy was on Channel 4, which is keen to keep him.
