Phillip Schofield has confirmed that he will still present the British Soap Awards despite his father passing away on Thursday.
Phillip took compassionate leave from This Morning earlier this week when his father, who was suffering from heart disease, took a turn for the worse. His father passed away.

Phillip will be replaced by Torchwood star, John Barrowman for the rest of this week.
Next week Phillip will be co-hosting The British Soap Awards with Fern Britton.
