The doors are locked on Prison Break for the last time as the fourth and final season of the smash hit, action packed drama comes to a close with a thrilling, heart-wrenching double bill finale on Tuesday 19th May at 10pm. Prison Break, which returned to Sky1 on Tuesday night, achieved “disappointing” viewing figures according to ratings experts Attentional.

The show has been off air since the last season finale in December which drew 318,000 viewers but the year before, the series had around 476,000 viewers during the 16-episode season.

Attentional provides data regarding viewing figures and on the same night as the new season of Prison Break aired, the new BBC3 series, Bizarre ER, had viewing figures of 414,000 and 756,000 of us tuned in to Shameless… Read more & comment »

Fox, the TV network that make the show have put together a recap clip, teling the story of the first three Prison Break seasons in approximately three minutes.

We have had hundreds on emails from Prison Break fans wanting some more info on the new series due to hit our screens “>this September. Well here’s a spoiler for you!

E! Online has revealed that Prison Break will lose a major character during season four, I wonder who it will be?

The website stated that a Fox representative has confirmed that “at least one actor will be leaving the series for good” but it won’t be an easy one to guess as the source added that their identity will be a “genuine surprise” to viewers.

Executive producer Zack Estrin also talked about two new characters coming to the show. Cress Williams will play Wyatt, who Estrin describes as a “Company guy who is… hot on our guys’ tail. When the season begins, there is a cover story that our guys are placed into a SuperMax prison and slowly but surely, clues are coming out that they aren’t in there – that they’re up to something else maybe. Prison Break producer, Zack Estrin, has revealed some great series spoilers for season four, due to kick off on Sky One this September.

“We’re going back to some old-school, season one storytelling with the book,” Estrin told website Zap2it.

“Just as Michael’s tattoos [in the] first year, the book has this season’s mysteries in it – riddles, clues, puzzles. Our guys will need to get a hold of that book in order to complete their tasks for season four and… T-Bag is the keeper of that book. Actor, Michael Rapaport, is said to be joining the cast of US drama, Prison Break.

The actor has previously appeared in TV shows such as ‘My Name Is Earl’ and ‘The War At Home’.

The actor is joining the drama as a series regular for its upcoming fourth season. He will play a government agent who has an interesting offer for Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller) and his brother, death-row inmate Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell).

Fans of US drama, Prison Break can rest easy as the show will be returning later this year.

Sky One bosses have just announced that they have managed to secure the fourth series of the show, which will be aired later this year.

Co-executive producer Nick Santora writes on his MySpace page: “We got word that we are officially picked up for season four. It’s great.”

The series three of Prison Break, the critically acclaimed international TV sensation, launched exclusively on Sky One in autumn 2007. Fox television network are reportedly planning to commission a spinoff of their hit drama, Prison Break.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the new show will be titled Prison Break: Cherry Hill and will centre around Molly, a new character to be introduced on the main show later this series.

Prison Break actor, Dominic Purcell has split with his wife, Rebecca Williamson.

A spokesperson for the actor commented: “The separation is completely amicable and they remain friends.”

The pair have four children together.
