Grey’s Anatomy star Chandra Wilson is set to cross over to spinoff show Private Practice.
According to EW.com, Wilson, who plays Miranda Bailey in the American medical drama, will appear in Private Practice during the third episode of season six. There will be quite a spark between her and ladies man Sam when she shows up in the Oceanside Wellness clinic.
After all the recent rumours of cast members lining up to leave the show, it is slightly refreshing to hear about one star who may be considering returning to Grey’s Anatomy.
Kate Walsh played Dr. Addison Montgomery on the ABC drama from 2005 until 2007, when she left to star in spinoff show, Private Practice.
Speaking to US Weekly about returning to the show, she said: “I might. I’m not gonna say. Who knows what’s in the mind of [creator] Shonda Rhimes.”
Private Practice actess Kate Walsh has counterfiled for divorce – two weeks after her husband Alex Young submitted paperwork for a split.
The couple’s troubled relationship was made public earlier this month (Dec08) when 20th Century Fox executive Young began legal proceedings for a divorce, after just 15 months of marriage.
Sam promotes his self-help book in his first talk show appearance, and Addison’s colleagues form Oceanside Wellness do not respond to a party invitation. Violet is displeased when the wife of her ex-boyfriend visits the centre for medical treatment, and Cooper advises a lovesick patient
So I am just starting out with the Grey’s Anatomy spin off TV show, Private Practice. Addison has moved to LA and the show has been surprisingly great.
However after watching the first two episodes this morning my eyes are red raw and slightly panda like. In episode one we see a woman having a mental breakdown in a department store. Finally Violet and Cooper realise that a video advertisment of a young boy set her off, bringing back memories of her son who recently died of brain cancer. They try to talk her round, going through the details of his illness and describing how much she helped her son along the way. Weeping fit number one.
Ok, so as mentioned before I LOVE Grey’s Anatomy. As a late Grey’s convert I was thrilled to find that Living have started airing the first series of the medical spin off show, in which Addison Montgomery leaves Seattle Grace Hospital for Los Angeles in order to join California’s Oceanside Wellness Center.
Private Practice follows Grey’s Anatomy’s neo-natal surgeon Addison Forbes Montgomery (Kate Walsh,) as she moves from Seattle to Santa Monica, California and starts over. After a failed attempt at marriage reconciliation with estranged husband Derek ‘McDreamy’ Shepherd (Patrick Dempsey), and a knock back from a promotion in Seattle Grace Hospital, Addison is in search of sunnier weather and happier times in this brand new series. Joining the chic Oceanside Wellness Center, Addison discovers that the entire staff has their own life issues; the sexy alternative medicine doc who has one-night stands; the gynaecologist who doesn’t know a thing about women; and the therapist who doubts she’s doing any good at all. Fortunately, the doctors are dedicated pros; it’s just their private lives that need a little practice…
