Ralf Little says Craig Cash threatened to kill of his Royle Family character, Anthony!

Comedy star Ralf Little – who’s making a comeback to our screens next week in new Sky1 comedy, The Café – has revealed that Royle Family co-writer Craig Cash has threatened to kill off Our Anthony, who is of course Ralf’s character in the sitcom.

Ralf made the revelation while speaking to the PA at a press conference to launch The Café yesterday.

He said that Craig – who writes Royle Family along with Caroline Aherne – told him, “’Oh, isn’t it a shame about Anthony dying in that car crash. Let’s never mention him again’.”

However, Ralf added that he thinks Craig’s joking about killing off Ant, and let’s hope he is, because Royle Family wouldn’t be the same without him!

On the subject of the sitcom, the Christmas special of which was of course cancelled this year as Craig and Caroline didn’t finish the script in time, Ralf says he’s “fairly” sure that he will feature in next year’s special… Read more & comment »

Ralf Little, Craig Cash and Michelle Terry talk new Sky1 comedy, The Café

On November 23rd, Sky1 will air the pilot episode of a new comedy entitled, The Café, and ahead of it, Ralf Little, who co-wrote the show, and Craig Cash, who produces and directs it, have been telling TV Choice magazine all about it.

In The Café, Ralf stars as Richard alongside Michelle Terry as Richard’s wife, Sarah. They’re joined by a host of other stars, such as Jack Roth, Kevin Trainor and June Watson.

Set in, not surprisingly, a café, Ralf and Craig also discussed how the new show differs, or is similar to, The Royle Family, in which they starred as Anthony Royle and Dave Best.

First, Ralf explained, “All the people [in the café] are a close-knit group of friends of different ages that are very much a part of each others’ worlds… Read more & comment »

Ralf Little wants more Royle Family

Royle Family star Ralf Little has revealed that he’d love to be in more episodes of the hit show.

30 year old Ralf launched his acting career with the comedy and said that it’s always been “a delight” to appear in episodes, even if it’s only for five minutes as his appearance was in the 2009 Christmas special.

While telling the PA how much he enjoyed working with Royle Family creators, Caroline Aherne and Craig Cash, Ralf said, “Caroline was hilarious, she said, ‘I’m sorry, you’re only in the first five minutes again… Read more & comment »
