Fans of EastEnders will know that Kim Fox (Tameka Empson) was devastated when her romance with Ray Dixon ended after he shared a kiss with her sister Denise. However, now the dust’s settled on that debacle, Kim has realised that she still has feelings for Ray…

So, in the episode that airs on Monday 20th May, after Kim asks Ray (Chucky Venn) to hand some flyers for the B&B out at The Vic, and he willingly accepts and even flirts, Kim’s left wondering if their conversation was just business or maybe something else!

It’s been revealed today that former Footballers’ Wives star Chucky Venn has quit EastEnders where he plays the role of Ray Dixon.

And of course, he’s not on his own as several of the show’s stars have left, or are about to leave, including Jo Joyner who plays Tanya Branning, and Scott Maslen who plays Jack Branning. Steve John Shepherd, who plays Michael Moon, is also leaving the show this year.

Fans of EastEnders will know that in an episode last week, Ray Dixon (Chucky Venn) shared a passionate kiss with Denise Fox (Diane Parish) after she’d become upset about the fact that her life seems to be going nowhere and that she remains single.

At the time, Denise reciprocated the kiss, even though Ray is of course her sister Kim’s boyfriend, however, in the cold light of the following day, she told Ray that it meant nothing and must never happen again.

However, in Monday’s trip to Walford, we’re set to see Kim (Tameka Empson) telling Denise that she had thought Ray was going to propose to her, and adds that she’s gutted that he hasn’t.

As fans of EastEnders may know, in the New Year, Ray Dixon and singleton Denise Fox are going to share a kiss, but of course, as Ray is dating Denise’s sister Kim, there could well be fireworks ahead if she finds out about it!

The tender moment between Ray and Denise happens after her friend Zainab Masood (Nina Wadia) organises a dinner party for Denise, with the primary objective of finding her a man…

To that end, Zainab invites every eligible bachelor in the Square, and even some – like Ray – who aren’t bachelors!

While discussing the kiss, Chucky Venn, who of course plays Ray, told Digital Spy, “As an actor, I love challenges so I’m looking forward to seeing how this storyline develops.”

As fans of EastEnders may recall, Derek Branning recently offered a Christmas wager to Alfie Moon and Fatboy Chubb…

Realizing that he’s in direct competition with Fatboy (Ricky Norwood) and Alfie (Shane Richie) for sales of Christmas wares on the market, Derek (Jamie Foreman) laid down the gauntlet saying that he was so sure he’d sell the most, if he didn’t, he’d hand over his Christmas Eve takings to Fatboy and Alfie.

However, that of course means that if Fats and Alfie don’t sell as much Derek does in the run up to Christmas, they have to hand over their money from Christmas Eve sales to him.

At this year’s Inside Soap Awards, EastEnders bagged lots of the ceremony’s biggest gongs, with the show’s star Tameka Empson, who of course plays feisty B&B owner Kim Fox, walking away with the Funniest Female award…

And while speaking to the press from the red carpet at the event, Tameka and her co-star Chucky Venn – who plays Ray Dixon – hinted that there could be wedding bells for their characters this Christmas!

I sooo hope they do, I’d love to see them married. As long as it doesn’t tame Kim, who for me is one of the best characters on the show.

However, Chucky said, “Coming up, we get to see the other side of Ray, so maybe he has acquired that big ring.

“For Kim that’s quite essential. Everybody must know that Kim has an engagement ring, so no pressure then.”

Tameka added, “And Christmas is coming up so keep watching.”

As fans of EastEnders will know, in last night’s trip to Walford, it was revealed that Ray Dixon (Chucky Venn) ISN’T Kat Moon’s mystery man, which of course leaves four suspects…

It could be any of the Branning brothers, Max (Jake Wood) Jack (Scott Maslen) or Derek (Jamie Foreman) or new dad Michael Moon (Steve John Shepherd).

A recent poll on the show’s official website put Jack Branning in top place as most likely to be Kat’s (Jessie Wallace) lover, but I’m not convinced…

I suspect it’ll be either Max or Michael, for the simple reason that there’s more drama to be had there.

He may be prime suspect number one in the current who slept with Kat storyline in EastEnders, but Tameka Empson says she wants Ray Dixon to marry her onscreen alter ego, Kim Fox!

Kim and Ray (Chucky Venn) have been seeing each since earlier this year, and whilst most of the nation (not us though) believe he is the mystery man behind Kat Moon’s (Jessie Wallace) mystery affair, Tameka Empson who plays Kim fox in the award-winning BBC soap, has revealed to Inside Soap magazine that, despite there being trouble ahead for the pair, she hopes that they will one day settle down and get married.

In the episode of EastEnders that airs a week tomorrow – Thursday, July 19th – Kat Moon’s mystery man tries to lure her into meeting up with him again, and to that end, he sends her the keys to a flat where he says they can meet up without anyone spotting them…

However, Kat (Jessie Wallace) has of course been fighting with her inner Jiminy Cricket over the affair, knowing she’s betraying her doormat husband Alfie (Shane Richie) yet again, but seemingly powerless to stop the elastic in her knickers from giving way of its own volition.

As we saw last night, when the mystery man – who I’m convinced is Ray Dixon (Chucky Venn) not from insider knowledge but just deduction – sent her a phone to call him on, she at first tried to avoid using it, hiding it in the bin…

EastEnders star Chucky Venn, who plays the role of barman and chef Ray Dixon, has revealed that there’s a good deal more to his character than we’ve as yet seen.

And though he wouldn’t – or couldn’t – reveal if Ray is to be the mystery man with whom Kat Moon (Jessie Wallace) is about to embark on an affair, he did say that he thought it would be out of character for Ray, but added, “we all have our dark sides.”

Speaking to Inside Soap magazine, Chucky went on to say that his character’s girlfriend, Kim Fox (Tameka Empson) should be enough of a woman to keep any man happy!

But of the affair plotline, he said, “Kat’s a saucy minx, and what man wouldn’t want to get involved with her?

It’s no secret that Kat Moon struggles to keep her knickers on when a man – any man at all it seems – chats her up, and of course, poor long suffering mug Alfie (Shane Richie) always but always forgives her…

However, as Kat (Jessie Wallace) is about to embark on an affair with one of the Square’s residents, will this too close to home dangerous liaison prove to be the straw that breaks Alfie’s back where Kat’s infidelity is concerned?

Well, that of course remains to be seen, but the BBC have officially confirmed that there are five runners – or perhaps more aptly, riders – in the Who’s Doing Kat stakes, and they are, Derek Branning and his brothers Max and Jack, Ray Dixon and Michael Moon.

Hands up who was disappointed that the obvious sparks between Alfie Moon and Roxy Mitchell didn’t manifest into a juicy EastEnders affair?

Well, they may be hope yet!  Bosses at the BBC soap have confirmed that when Jessie Wallace returns to reprise her role on our screens tomorrow, she will start sewing the seeds for a huge, but very different kind of who-dun-it as she embarks on a mystery affair, leaving the path of true love clear for Alfie and Roxy when it all comes out in the wash!
