When Max Branning (Jake Wood) came back to Walford last year, and discovered his ex-wife Tanya had cancer, he vowed to stand by her and swore he loved her more than anything…
But, given he’s a bloke – and as the old adage would have it, they only have enough blood for either their brains or their nether regions, so when one organ is using the supply, the other’s redundant – in forthcoming episodes, he may embark on an affair with Roxy Mitchell (Rita Simons).
However, in something of a keep-it-in-the-family twist, Max will suspect that Tanya (Jo Joyner) is rekindling her fling with his brother Jack (Scott Maslen) who is of course the father of Roxy’s daughter Amy… Read more & comment »
As fans of EastEnders will know, Roxy Mitchell and Jack Branning are about to face a showdown in court to see who gets custody of their daughter Amy.
Jack, who’s played by Scott Maslen, currently has temporary custody of the toddler since she was taken away from mum last year after nearly drowning when Roxy left her in Ben Mitchell’s (Joshua Pascoe) care.
However, as we recently reported, things are set to get nasty as both Roxy and Jack swear to do whatever it takes to get custody of Amy.
And today, TV Choice magazine reports that Rita Simons – who of course plays Roxy – has been discussing the forthcoming courtroom drama, and Roxy’s rather unremarkable love life!
That said though, she is about to have a one-night stand with Jack, so I can’t help wondering if there’s to be another Branning-Mitchell bubby on the Square soon… Read more & comment »
Next week sees Roxy Mitchell (Rita Simons) going head to head in court with her ex, Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) to win back custody of her daughter Amy…
And it seems she’s prepared to fight as dirty as is necessary to ensure that Jack’s shown to be a less then reliable father, despite the fact that it was her own irresponsibility over little Amy that cost her custody of the little girl in the first place.
However, just before they’re due to fight it out in court, they end up sharing a one night stand! Wonder if that’ll result in another Walford baby?
But, the gloves are off when the court hearing begins, and the tension ramps up a good few notches after Michael Moon (Steve John Shepherd) finds out that Jack has applied for a passport for Amy and has forged Roxy’s signature to get it! Read more & comment »
EastEnders has of course never shied away from controversial storylines, and a forthcoming plotline will see Roxy Mitchell accused of neglecting her daughter Amy.
The story begins when Roxy – who’s played by Rita Simons – leaves Amy with Ben Mitchell (Joshua Pascoe), however, when he lets his attention slip for a few minutes, toddler Amy starts running a bath for her dolls…
And she promptly falls in and nearly drowns.
So there’s of course an emergency dash to hospital, where a devastated Roxy has to defend leaving Amy with teenager Ben to Amy’s dad Jack Branning (Scott Maslen).
And there’s worse to come when it transpires that doctors find an old injury to little Amy’s arm which was untreated… Read more & comment »
Oh dear, it was wrong to ask if things could get any worse for Jack Branning, because the answer was almost certainly always going to be ‘Yes’.
And it would seem Friday 29th April will be the setting for his next fall.
After convincing Alfie (Shane Richie) to have the name on Tommy’s headstone changed to James (I actually thought you could not lay a headstone for a year after a burial) Jack (Scot Maslen) convinces sister-in-law (and mother of his daughter) Roxy (Rita Simons) to visit the grave with him.

After deciding enough is enough, Eastenders’ Tanya Branning closes Roxy’s salon due to her unacceptable treatment of staff, and sets up her own make shift salon at home, enlisting the help of Syed.
Having previously stolen Roxy’s client list, Syed and Tanya decide to set up shop for themselves, enlisting the help of Christian, Roxy’s best friend, to help move their stuff out of the salon and into Tanya’s house.

Phil (Steve McFadden) is back from visiting Grant, and already far from impressed that Heather (Cheryl Fergison) is living with in his house, he then stumbles across Glenda and Roxy’s (Rita Simons) far from foolproof revenge plan, following Glenda’s confession that she knew it was Phil who stole Roxy’s money.
