Robert Lindsay rules out My Family return!

Its bad news for My Family fans, we are afraid, as one of the main stars has ruled a return for the show!

Robert Lindsay, who played dad Ben Harper for the 11 series of the hit sitcom till it ended back in 2011, has reportedly exclaimed that a return is most definitely out of the question (he said no like five times!).

Robert Lindsay & Rufus Hound talk Margaret Thatcher regrets & MEP plans on Jonathan Ross show!

Robert Lindsay and Rufus Hound are currently starring together on stage in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. However, during their interview on tonight’s Jonathan Ross show, Rufus exclusively revealed that he has plans outside of the acting and comedy world – he plans to run as an MEP.

Rufus said: “I think I’m going to run as an MEP (Member of European Parliament). I’m going to run for the NHA (National Health Action Party) because the NHS is being privatised. The NHA is run by doctors and they’re not people who want to be politicians. I don’t want to run as an MEP, I really don’t. I want to dick about with this man (Robert Lindsay) because that’s a lot more fun, but I’m looking around for who is stepping forward and telling people about it and nobody is.”

Robert Lindsay talks about his new role in ‘Spy’

Former My Family actor Robert Lindsay has been telling What’s On TV about his role in Sky1HD’s new comedy ‘Spy’, in which he plays ‘The Examiner’.

Of the role, Robert said, “He doesn’t have a name, which I love, and he inhabits a very dark, mysterious world full of shady characters.

“The main character, Tim (Darren Boyd), comes to meet me having applied for what he thinks is a job with the civil service…”

Robert Lindsay and Richard Griffiths to star in gay sitcom ‘George and Bernard Shaw’

Robert Lindsay and Richard Griffiths have been announced as the lead actors in a new gay sitcom for BBC One.

The duo will play a middle aged couple in the new drama, titled ‘George and Bernard Shaw’ and if the pilot performs well, the channel are hoping to make it a long running, regular feature in the TV schedule.
