Producers of the hit US musical teen drama, Glee, have cast Sons of Anarchy star Katey Sagal to play Artie’s Abram’s mum!
Singer-songwriter Sagal made her mark on the world of television playing Peggy Bundy in the hugely popular Fox comedy series, Married… With Children, a role which she played from 1987 to 1997 and for which she was nominated for four Golden Globe Awards for Best Actress in a Comedy Television Series and two American Comedy Awards during the show’s run.

It’s fair to say that E4 have had a good track record when it comes to buying in US sitcoms a trend that started with Friends and continued with The Big Bang Theory and How I Met Your Mother. More recently they have had more success with two of America’s most-watched comedies 2 Broke Girls and New Girl and tonight they’re trying to replicate that glory with their latest import The New Normal. The sitcom is the latest programme from Ryan Murphy who is most famous for creating Glee though The New Normal is a much more traditional show despite having two lead characters who are both gay.

American Horror Story co-creator Ryan Murphy has suggested the programme will return with a lighter touch for its third series.

Brad Falchuk, the executive producer of the hit teen series, Glee, has revealed that several relationships on the show will be put to the test in season four.
Falchuk said that certain characters on the award-winning Fox hit show, will face a long-distance romance after last season’s graduation, and will find staying together a “pretty tough challenge”.

Ryan Murphy has been releasing little sneak peeks behind the scenes the new season of American Horro Story.
The TV genius, who also behind hit Fox musical drama Glee – and have you ever seen two shows more different? – joined Twitter this week and one of his first postings on the micro blogging website, was a picture of a certain hunk filming his scenes.
We reported earlier this year that The Voice coach and Maroon 5 lead singer Adam Levine would be guest starring in the gory series and yesterday Murphy revealed this picture, showing the star in his role of one half of “the lovers.”

Ryan Murphy is about to move from the small to the silver screen and has reportedly been hired to direct new Hollywood movie ‘One Hit Wonders.’
The creator of hit TV series’ Glee, Popular, Nip/Tuck, Glee, and American Horror Story has some history of directing for the big screen and previously worked on ‘Running with Scissors’ with Alec Baldwin and also directed Julia Roberts in recent hit ‘Eat, Pray, Love’.

Things are reportedly going downhill fast on the set of Glee.
Insiders say that filming season three of the show has become an unpleasant experience for all involved, as show boss Ryan Murphy has become moody and aggressive with some of it’s biggest stars.
He may have plucked most of them from obscurity a few years ago, but insiders say that the actors and crew are now beginning to rally against the creator of Glee, Nip Tuck and American Horror Story, because of his ‘mean’ ways.

If you were a fan of ‘Nip Tuck’ or of course “Glee”, then chances are you will be a big fan of Ryan Murphy’s latest offering “American Horror Story”.
The 13 episode long series has been picked up by FX and will air in America this Fall – on October 5th specifically.
Fellow Glee Executive Producer Brad Falchuk is also on board for the show and the series is set to star Dylan McDermott and Connie Britton as a struggling couple who move from Boston to Los Angeles to, as FX put it, “reconcile past anguish”. However they end up living in a somewhat haunted house, with their young family.

Ryan Murphy has decided to put his recent celebrity feud to bed and reached out an olive branch to The Kings Of Leon.
The Glee creator previously slammed the rock band after they refused to allow their music to be used on his show. He ranted:
“They’re self-centered a**holes, and they missed the big picture.”
He also criticised The Foo Fighters, causing their frontman Dave Grohl to tell The Hollywood Reporter:

Glee’s executive producer Ryan Murphy has admitted that the cast will explore bisexuality in an upcoming episode.
Speaking to Out Magazine, the show creator revealed that Blaine may upset viewers by raising the subject.
He said:
“Blaine will openly question whether bisexuality is real. I think that some people will love that discussion and some will not love it.”

‘Glee’ creator Ryan Murphy has hit out at American rock band Kings of Leon, branding them “self-centred a*sholes”.
The 45-year-old exectuive producer has previously admitted that the Nashville-based group refused to allow their hit single ‘Use Somebody’ to be featured in the musical TV show, and Ryan has now claimed the band are “missing the big picture” by not opening up their back-catalogue for use.
He said: “F**k you Kings of Leon. They’re self-centred a*sholes, and they’re missing the big picture. They missed that a seven-year-old kid can see someone close to their age singing a Kings of Leon song, which will maybe make them want to join a glee club or pick up a musical instrument.
