Fans of Coronation Street will no doubt recall that Tina O’Brien left the show and her role as teenaged mum Sarah Louise Platt in 2007 after she left the Street to start a new life in Italy with her daughter Bethany.

However, the Daily Mirror report exclusively that Tina is coming back to the show to reprise the role of Sarah, and one of her major storylines will be that Bethany is now a teenaged tearaway herself! Bethany is now 13, which is the same age as Sarah was when she had her.

The paper reports that Sarah will also “lock horns” with her brother David (Jack P Shepherd) and his wife Kylie (Paula Lane).

Former Coronation Street actress, Tina O’Brien, has admitted she is fearful of her character in the hit ITV soap, Sarah Louise Grimshaw, being recast by another actress.

O’Brien, who played the role for 8 years, quit the show back in 2007 to have her daughter, Scarlet, with ex-boyfriend, and current Coronation Street actor, Ryan Thomas, who plays her former on-screen husband, Jason Grimshaw in the soap.

Fans of Coronation Street will most likely recall that Tina O’Brien’s character Sarah Louise Platt left Weatherfield to begin a new life in Italy in 2007…

As Sarah, Tina won praise and awards for her portrayal of teenaged pregnancy when her character gave birth to a daughter, Bethany, aged just 13.

In real life, Tina also has a daughter, Scarlett, whose father is Ryan Thomas who of course plays the role of builder Jason Grimshaw. However, Tina and Ryan parted ways in 2009, but he regularly sees his daughter.

And today, in an interview with the Daily Mirror, Tina has revealed that she’s now happily dating personal trainer Adam Crofts, and the couple have discussed marriage and children.
