A brand new Dexter season 8 promo video has been released, in which some of the cast and producers look at Deb’s journey from being a really good cop to a killer. She has one Achilles heel and that’s the fact that she loves Dexter Morgan.

Homeland actor David Harewood has defended a plot which saw his character David Estes plan to kill former enemy Nicholas Brody.

CIA counterterrorism director Estes called off the assassination of Brody, played by Damian Lewis, at the end of the second series of the Showtime programme but ended up coming to a grisly end himself after he died in a suicide bombing of the CIA headquarters. Read more & comment »

US TV network Showtime has officially confirmed that hit comedy drama Weeds will end with the forthcoming new season, which is the show’s eighth.

Season 8 begins on July 1st on Showtime, and will run for 13 episodes, marking more than a hundred editions since the show began

In the eight years that it’s been broadcast, the show has won 21 Emmys, 10 Golden Globes, and six SAG Awards nominations.

One of my personal favourite shows, The Big C, has been renewed for for a phenomenal third season by the US network Showtime. Who’d have thought a comedy-drama about a woman with cancer could be so well-received?

The second season of the series is being broadcast in the USA at the moment, and is about to draw to a shocking conclusion with several deaths that will shock fans. So, while we’ll be saying goodbye to some of our favourite characters, it’s reassuring to know that The Big C will return again.

Showtime and BBC have commissioned brand new series “Episodes,” a six-part series starring “Friends” star Matt LeBlanc.

The show from creators David Crane (“Friends”) and Jeffrey Klarik (“Mad About You”) will centre on a couple whose hit UK TV show has an American remake.

To his friends and family, Dexter Morgan is a somewhat straight-laced blood spatter analyst at Miami Metro’s homicide division. However, behind the scenes, Dexter is a cold blooded killer who satisfies his need by hunting down uncaught murderers, hacking them up and disposing of them along the ocean floor.

In daylight, Dexter’s the guy who arrives at work with a box of doughnuts for his colleagues. He works diligently, but doesn’t draw undue attention to himself. He very successfully fakes his relationships with others, but sometimes drops the ball by not showing emotion when he probably should.

At night, Dexter stalks his prey armed with a syringe full of horse tranquillizers and an assortment of razor-sharp cutting tools. Using his access to police resources, Dexter identifies unsolved crimes and uses his skills to track down killers and administer his own brand of justice.
