Skins on E4 has launched an official Skins podcast! Skinscast will be a series of 10 podcasts loosely following the plotlines and themes of each episode. Each podcast gives fans insights into their favourite characters and ‘behind the scenes’ access to the actors, all directly from the actors themselves. Additionally, fans will be able to interact with the Skinscast via E4.com and some will be called back to feature in the closing chapter of each show. Daniel Kaluuya who plays Posh Kenneth will be fronting up the Skinscast and different members of the cast will feature each week.
This week the Skinscast features Mitch Hewer (aka Maxxie) talking about getting naked on camera, life with the skins cast and the lowdown on what went on behind the scenes of Episode 1. Skins actor Mike Bailey has admitted that the main star of the show, Nicholas Hoult, often gets lots of negative attention when he heads out for the night.
Mike told the Daily Record: “I don’t get so much trouble but I’ve been out with Nick when people come up to him and say things that make you think ‘Just why would you say that to someone?’

Former Eastenders actor Shane Richie is set to join the cast of Channel 4 drama, Skins.
Richie will play the part of a trendy professor who ends up sleeping with one of his much younger students.
An insider told The Sun: “Shane is a big fan of Skins and jumped at the chance of a part ? even though it’s quite a risque role.

It was recently revealed that comedian, Bill Bailey will be making some guest appearances in the new series of Skins. Bill is probably best known for his character Manny in Black Books or in the movie Hot Fuzz.
