Paul O’Grady won’t be taking his Channel 4 chatshow to Sky, after they refused to give him an extra £1 million.
Paul demanded the extra money to pay for HD TV cameras in his studio, however Sky weren’t prepared to cough up the cash.

Harry Hill is all set to abandon ITV’s ship and move to Sky after he was offered £400,000 for each episode of ‘Harry Hill’s TV Burp.’
The majority of the fee would go to TV production company Avalon however Harry would walk away with eighty grand per show, a figure not to be sniffed at.
A source told The Sun: “Sky have tried to get Harry twice before and it looks like it could be third time lucky.

This long hot summer, Sky1 will bring you exclusive as-live coverage of Girls Aloud’s recent ‘Out Of Control’ UK tour, filmed at London’s 02 Arena on 24th May 2009. I hope you’re all having a lovely Easter weekend and once it’s over, here’s what we here at Primetime reckon is worth watching this coming week…
Easter Monday
The Jet Stream and Us, 8:00pm, BBC4
This new documentary traces how human understanding of the jet stream – a ribbon of fast moving air high in the atmosphere – has grown. Now, that may sound boring but it’s actually very interesting!
It’s been responsible for bewildering effect on bomber pilots in World War II, turbo charging modern transatlantic flyers, the infamous 1987 hurricane and the devastating floods of recent years.
Scientists now believe this powerful weather phenomenon is now changing its pattern of behaviour and could have an even bigger impact on our climate and the way we live our lives.

A few months ago, I noticed a listing in the TV guide for this show and that particular episode was about the horrifying murder of 18 year old model Sally Anne Bowman.
Psychic Private Eyes is on Zone Reality – Sky channel 146 – at 11pm several nights each week and on Sunday 11th the channel is repeating the Sally Anne Bowman special and I highly recommend you watch it. It really is an astonishing programme.
The show features psychic mediums Colin Fry, Tony Stockwell and TJ Higgs, and I have to say, the most sceptical of sceptics couldn’t help but be converted to ‘believer’ by this programme. Read more & comment »

Myleene Klass will feature on Sky HDTV’s new TV testcard. The original testcard, which featured a young girl playing noughts and crosses, aired on terrestrial TV channels when programmes ended for the night, but I think we can all admit that Myleene will be a definite improvement!
Myleene commented: “I’m really excited to be the face of the Sky HD testcard and to be taking part in a little piece of TV history.
“For me, the card evokes nostalgic childhood memories of staring at the TV waiting for Playschool.”
Chris Johns, chief engineer at Sky, added: “Myleene looked great in the jungle and looks even better in HD.”
HD-enabled viewers can see the Klass card on Sky channel 268.
