Fans of EastEnders will of course recall actress Lacey Turner in her role as Stacey Slater, who was feisty, fearless and uncompromisingly brave as she dealt with one trauma after another in her young life…
However, since leaving the show, Lacey has gone on to star in hit paranormal drama Bedlam – the second series of which begins on Sky Living on Wednesday 6 June at 10:00pm – and the experience of playing paramedic Ellie, who, as the phrase goes, sees dead people, left her terrified when she returned home after filming.

Lacey’s portrayal as the primary carer of her mother – who has bipolar disorder – is outstanding and one of her best performances ever was in last night’s episode.

I really think Lacey’s emotional but powerful portrayal of Stacey is very much underrated and there’s more of it to come as events with Jean come to a head this week. Read more & comment »
