Channel 4 has axed its parody show ‘Star Stories’ after three series.
The show has previously taken on celebrities such as Elton John, Simon Cowell and Take That but has now been cancelled so that the Channel can put cash into new comedy shows.

Elton John is about to get a Star Stories makeover, according to the show’s star, Steve Edge.
Edge and co-star kevin Bishop have impersonated Take That and The Beckhams in previous series of the show.
“I’m sure we’re doing Elton John and David Furnish,” Edge told The Mirror. “We read a new Britpop sketch of Oasis and Blur going to see Blair, which sounds good. Jarvis Cocker is the narrator, like an Austin Powers figure.
“It’s a great job for summer – lots of funny wigs and silly voices.”
The new series is currently in production and due to hit our screens on Channel 4 this autumn.
