Screen legend Leonard Nimoy says he had a “delicious time” filming his role on American Sci-Fi drama Fringe.
The Star Trek will play Massive Dynamic founder William Bell for the conclusion of the first series of the show. Bell has been much discussed on the show thus far but never seen.
The 78-year-old said: “I had a delicious time on this episode – I like the position they have given me, I like the enigma of this character.”

The dashing, devil-may-care captain of the original Starship Enterprise, James T Kirk, has been named the best ever Star Trek captain in a new poll of fans.
The saucy Sixties spaceman played by William Shatner beat off competition from serious Shakespearean actor Patrick Stewart, who played Captain Jean-Luc Picard in the 1980s, and Kate Mulgrew, who played the show’s first female captain in the 1990s. Fans cited Kirk’s sense of adventure and his way with the ladies when voting him their number one.

The new Star Trek film – due for general release early next year – now has its very own website where you can watch a high quality trailer for the film. It’s a wee bit slow to load but well worth the wait!

The Sci Fi channel has commissioned 20 more episodes of Stargate Atlantis according to Variety magazine.
“Atlantis truly came out from under the shadow of its sister series this year and proved that it’s a hit in its own right,” said Sci Fi’s Mark Stern, exec veep of original programming. The show’s predecessor, Stargate SG-1, ran for 10 seasons on Sci Fi before completing its run last year.
