Forgive the sudden departure from television-related news folks. We’ve been having fun with a Yoda-speak thread over on the forum tonight, and it forced me to dredge up this Star Wars spoof video:
It’s an animation featuring the original characters from Star Wars in a spoof rap video. There are too many good moments to watch, including Darth Vader flipping the W sign and Yoda doing a cool solo.
Matter of fact, can anybody translate Yoda’s lines from the video? I can’t quite work them out.

Hasbro have revealed that the upcoming Star Wars animations will be released in cinemas first.
During the ‘Hasbro Fall 2007 Analyst Event’, the company’s COO announced:
“…the additional big news here is that Star Wars Cinemation is scheduled to launch on 8-08-08 as a theatrical release. Yes, Star Wars will be back in theatres August 8th, 2008, then the series will appear on TV throughout the fall.”
Although this has not yet been confirmed by Lucasfilm, I’d say that Hasbro must be pretty sure to make an announcement of this kind. Roll on summer 2008!

George Lucas has finally decided to spill the beans on his newest Star Wars venture, a 3D animated series called Clone Wars.
The director of the six Star Was movies, told US TV Guide: “Clone Wars has got all the characters in it Yoda, Anakin, Obi Wan, the Emperor and all that – so it’s basically the movie.
“The live action series is not the movie. It’s the Star Wars universe, but its characters who were previously minor and it follows their stories.
“It’s set between movies III and IV, when the Empire has taken over. The Emperor and Darth Vader are talked about but you never see them, as it doesn’t take place where they actually are.
“There are storm troopers and all that, but there are no Jedis.”

Star Wars creator, George Lucas, has revealed that he intends to make two more Satr Wars movies.
The films will both be one hour long TV movies, and we shouldn’t expect to see Luke Skywalker or Leia in either.
“The films won’t have members of the Skywalker family as characters,” George said. “They will be other people of that milieu.
