Fans of Corrie will know that Karl Munro (John Michie) set into motion a terrible chain of events when he deliberately set fire to the Rovers, which he did to try to split his former lover Stella Price up from her then boyfriend Jason Grimshaw…
However, as the terrible events unfolded, firefighter Toni died in the burning pub, and Stella (Michelle Collins) only avoided the same fate after Karl went into the building to rescue her, so he was of course hailed as the hero of the hour.
And though he has enough humanity in him to feel guilty over what he did – including possibly having murdered Sunita, the only other person who knew the truth about the fire – he’s not about to confess, given that rescuing Stella achieved what he wanted; that is, she ended her romance with Jason (Ryan Thomas) and reignited her relationship with him. In next week’s episodes of Coronation Street, a delighted Stella Price (Michelle Collins) reopens the Rovers and marks the occasion by throwing a party for the Street’s residents…
However, the happy event is overshadowed by memories of poor Sunita Alahan, who is of course still being blamed for having started the fire, while of course it was in fact Karl Munro (John Michie) who was responsible for the arson that ultimately resulted in the loss of two lives… Read more & comment »
It seems that Gloria Price (Sue Johnston) is set to save her daughter Stella’s bacon in terms of The Rovers next week after she – details of exactly how are as yet under wraps – comes up with enough cash to get the refurb of the fire damaged pub back on track…
And though she rather left it to the last minute, given that Stella (Michelle Collins) had put the pub up for sale and suffered the indignity of taking a job as a cleaner at the Bistro, save it she does, but of course, she soon interferes, much to Karl Munro’s annoyance.
And he’s struggling to cope with his guilt next week as Stella plans a bank holiday reopening date for the iconic pub, and so snaps at Gloria when she gets in the way of the builders and him. Read more & comment »

Fans of Corrie will know that arsonist Karl Munro (John Michie) is nicely ensconced once again with the love of his life, Stella Price (Michelle Collins) and in next week’s episodes, he’s set to propose to her, and she’ll accept!
However, Owen Armstrong – who is of course refurbishing the burnt out Rovers – is set to wreck their happiness with a shock ultimatum.

Rovers landlady Stella Price (Michelle Collins) nearly died in the recent blaze at the pub – which was of course started by her boyfriend Karl Munro – however, she’s determined that the horror of the fire won’t stop her from rebuilding the pub and simply getting on with things.
So with that in the forefront of her mind, Stella employed builder Owen Armstrong (Ian Puleston Davies) to rebuild the burned out pub, even though she’s yet to receive a cheque from her insurance company for the damage… Read more & comment »
As we reported last week, Stella Price (Michelle Collins) is set to ditch boyfriend Jason Grimshaw (Ryan Thomas) to rekindle her romance with Karl Munro, but of course, what Stella doesn’t know is that Karl started the blaze at the Rovers which cost firefighter Toni her life, and young mum Sunita…
However, there is of course a chance that Sunita would’ve survived her injuries from the fire, but as she came out of her coma, Karl was in her hospital room and may well have pulled out her breathing tube. It’s not clear yet whether he did or not.
But what is clear is that despite the fact that in last night’s episodes, Karl (John Michie) pretty much confessed to having killed Sunita, Stella took his words to be something along the lines of survivor guilt and not an actual confession. Read more & comment »

As we reported recently, arsonist Karl Munro is set to break down during Sunita Alahan’s funeral as the guilt of what he’s done overwhelms him.
He of course started the blaze in the Rovers and pushed Sunita (Shobna Gulati) into the cellar, rendering her unconscious as the inferno took hold. She has since been in a coma in hospital, and rumour has it that – as she shows signs of regaining consciousness – Karl (John Michie) will sabotage her life support equipment to make sure she dies and therefore can’t tell anyone the truth of what happened that night.
However, it’s been reported today that his efforts at covering up the truth may have been in vain when, during the funeral, he confesses to Stella Price (Michelle Collins) that he is in fact responsible for it all… Read more & comment »
Karl Munro (John Michie) is, and rightly so, a man tormented after his act of arson left firefighter Toni dead in the wreckage of The Rovers and his former lover Sunita fighting for her life…
However, as we of course saw last week, Sunita lost that fight, and this week we’ll see her friends and neighbours rallying around her devastated former husband Dev (Jimmi Harkishin) as he organises her funeral.
And poor Dev has a lot to cope with, especially when young Simon Barlow remarks to Dev and Sunita’s twins Asha and Aadi that their mum won’t be in heaven because she started the fire… Read more & comment »
As we reported recently, Coronation Street character Michelle Connor (Kym Lomas) is set to become the new landlady of The Rovers Return when current landlady Stella Price (Michelle Collins) gives up on the boozer…
However, before that happens, and while planning what to do during the pub’s rebuilding in the wake of the fire, Stella is set to offer builder Owen Armstrong (Ian Puleston-Davies) half of the business in return for fixing it up.
The Daily Star reports, “She has to come up with a plan to keep the Rovers open and decides the best thing to do is sell off a 50% stake.”

The drama of the Rovers fire continues next week, with wicked Karl Munro (John Michie) still being hailed the hero of the hour after he ran into the burning pub to get Stella Price (Michelle Collins) out…
However, we viewers of course know that Karl started the blaze, which left Paul Kershaw’s firefighter colleague and friend dead, and Sunita Alahan (Shobna Gulati) fighting for her life. And of course, it’s a fight she’s set to lose as the finger of blame over the inferno points directly at her!
