And today, it’s been revealed that Sharon (Letitia Dean) is set to run into Phil Mitchell’s arms on the rebound from Jack (Scott Maslen) which is of course revisiting a plotline that had the nation glued to their tellyboxes back in the nineties when Sharon and Phil (Steve McFadden) had a torrid affair while she was married to Phil’s brother, Grant.

The plot twist begins on Monday, March 18th when Tanya (Jo Joyner) spots that Phil (Steve McFadden) has dozed off in the café…
Bemused, she wakes him, and the two begin chatting, finding a bond in the fact that neither has a very high opinion of the other. However, they’re interrupted when Sharon (Letitia Dean) returns to inform Tanya that she’s just seen Max (Jake Wood) flat-hunting on the Square. Read more & comment »

In next week’s episodes of EastEnders, former copper Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) could find himself facing a long time behind bars after he attacks love rival Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) after a row over Sharon Rickman turns violent!
The drama begins on Monday, February 25th when Jack tells Sharon (Letitia Dean) that she could earn far more money running a club in the West End than she’s currently earning running R&R for Phil…

EastEnders veteran, Steve McFadden, has strongly hinted that his latest spell in the award-winning soap is hopefully a long one.
Fans of the hit BBC soap will know that Steve, who plays hard-man Phil Mitchell, has, like the rest of his on-screen family, had several breaks from the show that he originally joined in 1990, but this time it looks like he is staying!
Throughout his career as Phil, McFadden has been at the centre of many an exciting storylines, including the infamous ‘who shot Phil’ plot, where his character, Phil Mitchell, was – well shot.

In tomorrow night’s visit to Walford, it’s a big day for Lola Pearce (Danielle Harold) as she has to take the stand and declare to the family court that she considers Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) to be capable of taking care of her baby daughter, Lexi…
However, as you’ll see in the clip after the jump, when all eyes are on her waiting for her to say the words that could ensure Phil gets custody, she’s hesitant.
Will she risk losing Lexi forever by saying Phil’s not fit to raise the little girl? Or will she say she does trust him, and therefore at least her baby will be back on the Square… Read more & comment »

As we reported earlier this week, in the New Year, Phil Mitchell is set to propose to Sharon Rickman, and unlike the last time he placed an engagement ring on her finger, this time his offer of marriage is a real one!
However, Phil (Steve McFadden) isn’t the only Walford male hearing the sound of wedding bells in his head as it turns out that Sharon’s boyfriend Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) is also going to propose to her.
And as I mentioned in the title of this post, I wonder if Sharon (Letitia Dean) holds some kind of a record for having the most proposals of marriage ever, because of course she nearly married fiancé John Hewland – who she ditched at the altar before returning to the Square earlier this year – and prior to that, she was married to Dennis Rickman (Nigel Harman).
Before Dennis, Sharon was married to Grant Mitchell (Ross Kemp) and before that even – in 1987 – Sharon was engaged to curate Duncan Boyd, but she later called off the wedding. And in 2002, Sharon was engaged to Tom Banks, but he died while rescuing Little Mo Slater from a house that her violent ex-husband had set alight… Read more & comment »

EastEnders characters Sharon Rickman and Phil Mitchell have a lot of history, given that she was formerly married to Phil’s brother Grant (Ross Kemp) but went on to have an affair with Phil (Steve McFadden).
And they’ve revisited that romance once or twice over the years, and Phil has always been Sharon’s first port of call in a crisis…
And it was of course the crisis of her split from fiancé John earlier this year – after she ditched him at the altar and he then kidnapped her son Dennis – that brought Sharon back to Walford on Phil’s metaphoric white steed when she called him for help.
Subsequently, Sharon (Letitia Dean) has agreed to help Phil in his attempt to get custody of his granddaughter Lexi by pretending that they’re a couple and that they’re engaged… Read more & comment »

It looks like the baby Lexi storyline currently running on EastEnders may have a happy ending after all, if pictures in today’s Sun newspaper are anything to go by!
Fans of the award-winning BBC1 soap will know how teenage mum, Lola (Danielle Harold) is currently fighting to get her baby back after social services took her into care a few weeks ago.

In upcoming episodes of EastEnders, we’ll see Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) continuing his fight to get custody of his granddaughter Lexi, who was of course taken into care after social services deemed that the baby’s mother Lola Pearce (Danielle Harold) wasn’t capable of caring for the infant properly.
And later this week, after Phil learns that his son Ben – who is of course Lexi’s father – is to be tried for manslaughter rather than murder in the Heather Trott case, he will suggest that Ben and Lola get married, in order to formalize his status as Lexi’s granddad.
But not unreasonably, Lola’s horrified at the idea, given that she doesn’t even want Ben to know he’s Lexi’s dad. And her granddad Billy Mitchell (Perry Fenwick) also doesn’t want Ben to have anything to do with the baby.
Speaking to Inside Soap magazine recently, a show insider said, “The moment Lexi was taken away was the worst time of Lola’s life… Read more & comment »
