Damien, Myra and Carrie are the UK’s most feared and mistrusted names due to superstitious and dark associations – that’s the verdict of a compelling new survey released today.

The national survey of 2,000 Brits, specially conducted to celebrate the release of Supernatural Season 4: Volume 2 on DVD, asked respondents a series of questions based around popular connotations we associate with names. The findings provide a compelling insight into the names we most avoid due to their associations with superstitious beliefs, connections with the ‘darkside’ and our memories of real and fictional people who have borne the name previously.

Supernatural creator Eric Kripke has always said that the hit TV show would only last for five seasons and he is sticking by that plan. However fear not Supe fans, next year you will not be left high and dry. It sounds like Mr Kripke has a cunning plan up his sleeve.

The fifth season of Supernatural will kick off on Living later this year, after Virgin Media scooped the rights from ITV2.

The channel also has exclusive rights to a possible sixth series, as well as the rights to air the first four series. They kick off with the pilot episode on Thursday August 6 at 9pm.

Ah, the anniversary episode. It’s been five years since Melinda and Jim met, and she’s window shopping for a present. A shop opposite is on fire and Jim – a paramedic - is at the scene. An explosion knocks him off his feet and at the same time, Melinda see a flaming spirit walking inside the shop.

Later, Melinda and Jim are back home and she gets annoyed with him for apparently forgetting their anniversary in favor of a poker night with the boys. Later she has a flashback to the night they met.

When Sam has a vision of Dean killing a young man who seems to be possessed by a demon, the two brothers head to Oregon to search for answers.

They come across a town contaminated by a deadly virus that drives people to kill. Sam becomes infected and prepares for his deadly fate, but after nothing happens to Sam, Dean decides to reveal what the boys’ dying father whispered to him.
