Pop superstar Lady Gaga is going to join Homer, Marge and Bart and become a guest character in popular US animation The Simpsons, which airs on Channel 4 and Sky here in the UK.
Lady Gaga – who has had a string of hits both in the US and in the UK including ‘Born This Way’ and ‘Bad Romance’ – will show off her voice acting skills and play herself in an episode airing in the US on 20th May and her story will involve helping geeky Lisa Simpson, after her efforts to become the popular kid in school spectacularly backfire.

Viewers of American animated sitcom, The Cleveland Show, will be pleased to hear that US network Fox has commissioned the show for a third season.
The show, which is a spin-off from the hugely successful Family Guy, features Cleveland Brown as voiced by the show’s producer, Mike Henry.
Created originally by Henry in collaboration with Rich Appel and Seth MacFarlane, The Cleveland Show has become a hit both in America and here in the UK.
Henry told the New York Times that the goal for season three is to, “take things to the next level.” Read more & comment »
Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane has been telling the Associate Press about the storylines for the landmark 150th episode of the hit animated comedy.
MacFarlane said of the episode, which will air in the US on Sunday, “The plot is Brian and Stewie are stuck in a vault in the Archie-Meathead, ‘All in the Family’ tradition.
“The idea was to do an episode that features just those two characters in one room, almost like a one-act play.
“No cutaways, no flashbacks. Just to see if those characters are dimensional enough that they can sustain a half-hour with just their personalities.”
During the interview, MacFarlane was asked about the other hit shows he writes, which include American Dad and The Cleveland Show. And of the latter, he discussed an upcoming episode which features a guest appearance by Kanye West. Read more & comment »
Being a huge fan of Family Guy, I’m not entirely sure how come I’ve missed – until last night – the hugely funny spin-off, The Cleveland Show.
Cleveland was of course one of Peter Griffin’s drinking buddies in Family Guy, however, following his split from wife Loretta, it seems he’d had enough of Quahog so he and his son Cleveland Jnr relocated and warranted their very own show.
In this show, Cleveland’s son – Cleveland Jr – has put on a lot more weight but is still a geek, and last night’s episode centred around Cleveland Snr’s attempts to get Junior to play baseball. Read more & comment »
