The Sarah Connor Chronicles

Lena Headey, who plays Sarah Connor in the new Sarah Connor Chronicles, airing on Virgin 1, recently starred in the box office hit “300″ as Queen Gorgo. She also plays a teacher in “St. Trinian’s,” a contemporary update of the popular 1950s film franchise about an all-girls school.

Headey’s upcoming films include the psychological horror movie “The Brøken,” in which she stars as a woman whose life is thrown into turmoil when she sees her exact double on the streets of London, and “Der Rote Baron.” Headey co-produced and appears in the short film “The Devil’s Wedding.” She also stars alongside Jamie Foreman and Bill Sykes in Roman Polanski’s “Oliver Twist.” Her previous credits include the horror thriller “The Cave,” the fantasy-adventure “The Brothers Grimm” and the British romantic comedy “Imagine Me & You.” Read more & comment »

To celebrate the launch of the massive US drama, The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Virgin 1 are offering you the chance to ‘Terminate a Mate’!

The series begins a year after the events of Terminator 2: Judgment Day with John and Sarah Connor (Thomas Dekker and Lena Headey) hiding from the government and preparing for a possible future war against the rise of the machines.

As is you were part of the TV show, you can now set your very own terminator on your nearest and dearest just by visiting this site. Simply enter their name and email details and a specially created video of a Terminator hunting them down will be sent. It contains a bespoke voice mechanic that allows the Terminator to deliver them a message from you before they are ‘eliminated’.

I have been sending terminators to my friends all day. It doesn’t quite match up to Monk-e-Mail, but it is still a fun way to pass a Sunday afternoon!

This week sees the launch of The Sarah Connor Chronicles on Virgin 1. When the show launched in the US earlier this year, it achieved a ratings smash of over 18m viewers, giving its network Fox the strongest debut on any US network this season-to-date, beating 24’s performance in the same slot last year and trouncing the recently launched Bionic Woman on NBC by over 4 million viewers!

In fact the Sarah Connor Chronicles was the biggest drama to launch on Fox in three years, so needless to say I am expecting great things from this show.
