With the series finale only days away for its US audience, The Walking Dead’s Michael Rooker has revealed that he is relieved that his character, Merle Dixon, has been killed off!
Merle, who first appeared in an early episode of The Walking Dead’s in season one before making a return as part of the Woodbury storyline in 2012, was murdered by The Governor in the last episode of the hit AMC horror show, This Sorrowful Life, whilst attempting to attack the Woodbury contingent.

The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman has teased that the forthcoming new series of the zombie drama will be the goriest and scariest yet!
The Daily Star quote Kirkman as saying of the new series – which is the third outing of the hit show – “I think you might see a few more dollars on the screen in the third season. It’s gonna be bigger.
“The violence and horrific deaths kind of come naturally in the writers’ room.
“I’m excited about everything. There are new characters and there’s a new tone.
“There are characters that people don’t know about that are coming, which is really exciting.”

AMC, the network behind The Walking Dead, has released the poster of the third season and instead of just showing survivor group leader, Rick, it now also features new characters Michonne and The Governor.
The poster is released following the preview of some stills to preview the much-anticipated new season and the show also plans to visit San Diego Comic-Con on Friday, July 13 in Hall H. Andrew Lincoln, Sarah Wayne Callies, Norman Reedus and more are set to attend the panel, where fans can get the first look at an official sneak preview of season 3.

In the build up to the much-anticipated third series of the popular zombie series, The Walking Dead, the network giants behind the hit show, AMC, have released pictures of the David Morrisey as he takes his role as The Governor.
The Governor is described as one of the most formidable baddies from the series, taken from the character in Robert Kirkman’s graphic novels. The Governor is the brutal and vicious leader of Woodbury, a small settlement of survivors, and who became one of Rick’s (Andrew Lincoln) greatest enemies in the comic book series.

AMC, who of course produce hit zombie drama The Walking Dead, have released a sneak peek from the show’s forthcoming third series, which sees the survivors – headed up by Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) – setting up camp in a former prison compound.
You can see the clip after the jump, but first, of season three, the show’s executive producer Gale Hurd recently told TV Guide, “Our characters have been looking for a new safe haven after the farm is no more.
“They come across what we saw in the very last shot of Season 2, which is a prison setting.”
And Lincoln added, “It’s a journey into the unknown and it’s a huge, huge gamble, but it just shows how desperate they are.”
He added, “We have to do something that we otherwise would not ever put ourselves in this kind of jeopardy…” Read more & comment »
