So after 16 corpse riddled, flesh tearing, eye patch wearing episodes, The Walking Dead Season 3 has come limping to an end like a zombie extra. The promises of an epic all out battle fell short, but Rick and his rag tag band of loveable losers managed to fend off attacks from Woodbury…for now, leaving us questioning where will the series go next? The Walking Dead is fast becoming one of AMC’s flagship shows and has come on in leaps and bounds from cult beginnings. With the last two episodes it is easy to see why!
With the series finale only days away for its US audience, The Walking Dead’s Michael Rooker has revealed that he is relieved that his character, Merle Dixon, has been killed off!
Merle, who first appeared in an early episode of The Walking Dead’s in season one before making a return as part of the Woodbury storyline in 2012, was murdered by The Governor in the last episode of the hit AMC horror show, This Sorrowful Life, whilst attempting to attack the Woodbury contingent.
After Sunday night’s rather quiet season three penultimate episode, This Sorrowful Life, fans of The Walking Dead are in for a screamer with the series finale next week!
Welcome to the tombs, due to air on Sunday, will see the Governor finally make a move against the survivors in prison, leaving a question mark hanging over whether Rick and the rest of the group decide to up sticks and leave their safe haven before the battle commences.

The next episode of The Walking Dead looks set to be a dramatic one and it begins with Rick taking Michonne and Carl for a scouting mission. The trio come to terms with the fact that the Governor’s forces have more supplies, men and weapons than they have to hand, so Rick decides to head to town to seek out some extra firearms.
While on their travels, the trio are begged for help by a stranger, but wary of new people they ignore his pleas and drive on.
There’s a new twist on being dead that’s headed our way via BBC3 later this year when new zombie drama In the Flesh is unveiled on the channel…
And while it sounds like a really good drama on paper – we have the full lowdown on the show for you after the jump – I can’t help but wonder if it can possibly hope to be as good as The Walking Dead, which of course returned our screens last night on FX.
