Returning Corrie star, Gray O’Brien, has revealed that he’s fully expecting to “get stick” from members of the public when his character, Tony Gordon, rampages back onto the Street.
In an interview with the Daily Mirror, Gray said of his upcoming ‘siege’ storyline, “Now could be the point where they turn on me.

Coronation Street star Gray O’Brien has told GMTV viewers that Tony Gordon’s Corrie exit will bring “closure” to the character and his storylines.
Gray said of the scenes in which Tony will meet his end, “This has absolutely closed the story now.
“It’s a wee bit of closure on it and that’s a good thing, because people don’t know if you’re still going to go back.

Tony Gordon is all set for a Weatherfield return this summer. The convicted murderer will go to extreme lengths to get out of jail so that he can exact revenge on his ex-wife Carla Connor and henchman Jimmy Dockerson and so that he can see his fiancée Maria Connor again.

Coronation Street bosses have reportedly lined up three special web episodes of the show which will feature Tony Gordon as he voices his thoughts on how best to confess to his fiancé Maria that he killed Liam.
The online only shows will feature Tony alone in his office at Underworld holiding a gun, leaving us to speculate whether he’ll kill himself or if the gun is intended for someone else.
Each on of the online episodes will feature a different version of the same script, and each will have a different ending. Tony’s ultimate fate will be played out during regular TV episodes when Gray O’Brien leaves the show. Read more & comment »
