Torchwood star Bill Pullman has revealed that before he signed up for the role of serial killer Oswald Danes, he knew nothing about Torchwood.

Bill, who’s arguably best known for his role in The Independence Day, will play the role of Danes in the forthcoming series, Torchwood: Miracle Day, but he hadn’t got a clue about how huge the sci-fi series was.

speaking to What’s On TV, Bill said, “I can’t say I knew anything about it, because I am terrible at watching television. I don’t watch any television.

44-year-old John Barrowman, who’s set to reprise his role as Captain Jack Harkness in ‘Torchwood: Miracle Day’, a new 10-part series of the ‘Doctor Who’ spin-off, says he believes fans of the show enjoy his alter ego’s traits because they see similarities with his real life persona.

He said: “Captain Jack is a lot like John Barrowman and John Barrowman is a lot like Captain Jack, but I’m not immortal.

“There’s a lot of my personality in there and I think that’s why audiences have taken to him and I’m truly, truly grateful and truly chuffed.”

John apparently loves appearing in ‘Torchwood’ and he’d be happy if the series continued until he died.

He added: “Captain Jack is one of the best characters to play. I would happily play Captain Jack for the rest of my life.
