Torchwood star, John Barrowman, has revealed that he would like to join forces with Alex Kingston to star in another Doctor Who spin-off series!
The actor, whose character Captain Jack Harness was the star of previous Doctor Who spin-off Torchwood, says that he has discussed the idea with Alex, whose character River Song has made several appearances in Doctor Who.

After we reported earlier this month that Torchwood star, John Barrowman, was reportedly in talks with show bosses about his character, Captain Jack, making an appearance in the Doctor Who 50th anniversary celebrations, he has now confirmed on Twitter that this will not be happening!
Barrowman, who played Captain Jack Harkness in both Doctor Who and its spin-off series, Torchwood, had previously expressed a desire to take part in the celebrations, which include a special commemorative episode and a BBC2 docu-film depicting the shows creation, to be screened later this year.

The very lovely John Barrowman has told TV Biz that he has one pressing ambition, and that is to share the favours that life has heaped on him with troubled youngsters who haven’t enjoyed a similarly blessed life.
And to that end, along with his partner, Scott Gill, he’d like to adopt kids who’ve had troubled lives, .
John, who of course starred as Captain Jack Harkness in Torchwood - and who has also starred in Desperate Housewives and Hotel Babylon – explained, “We haven’t ruled out having children ourselves but it depends where my career takes us.
“We wouldn’t want a baby. We’d look at adopting an older child or teenager who might have been in trouble.

Torchwood star Gareth David-Lloyd is such an ardent Welshman, he was determined that his daughter should be born in Wales and not in England…
So in order to ensure he had the time to gets his wife Gemma to a hospital in Wales, he had a clause written into his Torchwood contract that enabled him to take time off from filming when Gemma went into labour.

Torchwood actor John Barrowman has revealed that he thinks the next incarnation of Doctor Who should be a woman.
John, who of course plays Captain Jack Harkness in the spin-off series, said, “I think a female Doctor might work.
“I know there are a lot of young girls and women who would love that.
“I think they should go out on a limb and try it.
“If Captain Jack can be an omni-sexual time agent, why can’t we have a female Doctor?”

John Barrowman has confessed that he would love to return for a guest appearance on Doctor Who.
The Torchwood star – who is currently promoting his ‘Best Of’ album – even has the details of his return worked our and wants to make his comeback in the series’ 50th anniversary in November 2013.
The Scottish star told BANG Showbiz: “It’s the 50th anniversary coming up of ‘Doctor Who’ and Jack is an integral part to this story and, if I’m going to be a little self-absorbed, I would hope he would be involved, it would be a shame if he wasn’t.”

Torchwood: Miracle Day will draw to an “explosive” finale on Friday (or next Thursday for UK residents) and the promo videos promise EVERYTHING will be revealed.
We’ve dredged through the teaser trailers, and it looks like there’s going to be plenty of shock and awe in the final. Bombs will go BOOM and necks will get broken. And hopefully we’ll get an explanation about what’s going on. One that actually makes sense. OK, that might be asking too much.
Anyway, without further waffling, and without any official synopsis, here’s what we’re inferring from the trailers we’ve seen so far:

Ah, Torchwood: Miracle Day. It was the fourth season that shouldn’t have happened. Children Of Earth was too successful, meaning that the show couldn’t be quietly smothered on its deathbed with a pillow. Therefore we got Miracle Day the show in which the characters became immortal while the audience slowly became suicidal.

John Barrowman has admitted that despite being openly gay, he still has a massive female following, who seem more enthusiastic than your general Tom Jones fan!
The Torchwood star has confessed that he regularly gets raunchy pictures of naked women posted to him, as well as items of underwear and requests for similar items of his own to be sent back.

Doctor Who showrunner Steven Moffat has denied rumours that Matt Smith may appear in Torchwood.
The acclaimed writer and producer said that the spinoff show is too adult in it’s nature and he would be worried that an appearance by The Doctor in the series, would prompt children to start watching the inappropriate material.

Torchwood has been a critical hit for both BBC and US TV network Starz since it launched earlier this month, however it seems that fans shouldn’t assume that the future is bright for the show.
The Doctor Who spinoff is currently part way through it’s current series Torchwood: Miracle Day but speaking at TV critics tour this week, Starz CEO Chris Albrecht told EW.com that it’s popularity will not guarantee it an annual place on it’s viewing schedules.

We always did love John Barrowman, he knows how to give a good interview and watching him at Comic Con this week was one of the most entertaining things we have ever done.

John Barrowman has revealed that he would love to return to Doctor Who for the show’s 50th anniversary episode.
The Torchwood star – who is best known as time traveller Captain jack Harkness – first took on the role in the 2005 Doctor Who episode “The Empty Child”and has reappeared on the show on various occasions.
In recent years he has been busy with his own spinoff show and hasn’t starred on Doctor Who since David Tennant left and Matt Smith became the eleventh incarnation of the famous Time Lord.
