The Great British Body: Trinny and Susannah Want Us To Get Naked!

Trinny And Susannah

ITV’s style experts Trinny and Susannah want the UK to get naked and measure themselves as they hope to create the nation’s most comprehensive body census.

In a brand new three part event for ITV1, Trinny and Susannah will tour the UK to investigate what lies beneath the UK’s outfits they made their names styling, for The Great British Body.

They want to find out the nation’s vital statistics by encouraging people to measure every aspect of their body, from height and waist, to chest size, leg and arm length and enter the data online at www.itv.com/body

They have recorded their very own ‘how to’ video to encourage viewers to take part and demonstrate how to measure themselves, from the size of their feet to the length of their ears, every inch of the British body is covered. Read More »

Trinny & Susannah take on Jo Brand in The Graham Norton Show

Fashionistas Trinny & Susannah, comedian Jo Brand and Alison Moyet join Graham Norton for this week’s The Graham Norton Show on BBC Two.

Jo famously became one of Trinny & Susannah’s first celebrity subjects.

She says of her makeover: “My mum saw the show and said I looked great, so I know I looked s**t!’”

Susannah says: “We didn’t fancy anyone more than Jo!”

Alison Moyet, asked whether she would submit to the T&S treatment, says: “Certainly not… I’m not into fashion. When do you get to knock it on the head? Why does everyone have to find me attractive? It depresses me. Read More »

Trinny and Susannah Undress the Nation: Fashion Rules For The Men!

This week, in Trinny and Susannah Undress The Nation, the girls tackle the problem of the nation’s forgotten shoppers – men. Trinny & Susannah launch a campaign to delve deep into the male psyche, unearth the root of the problem, and create a new nation of well dressed men.

Hundreds of civil engineers in London are stunned when Trinny and Susannah swoop in on their dress-down day. They round the men and coax them into their pod to reveal how and why they dress like they do and Trinny & Susannah are shocked at the results.

“You’re wearing a woman’s vest over a man’s t-shirt!” says a shocked Trinny.

“You’ve got amazing coloured eyes but you look like you’ve just crawled from under a stone,” adds Susannah.

Expecting a few faux pas Trinny and Susannah soon realise that they have an enormous problem on their hands. The girls decide they need to see where this crisis stems from.

They hit the high street and go undercover to observe just how men shop and find out why they always get it so wrong.

Trinny and Susannah Undress the Nation: Trinny Gets A Boob Job

Trinny Woodall has traded in her 32A breasts for a 32D to match best friend and partner in solving style crime Susannah Constantine.

The usually happily flat-chested Trinny tried new boobs for size for their new TV series Trinny and Susannah Undress the Nation at 8pm on ITV1 tomorrow night, when they wage war on British women’s badly dressed breasts.

But rather than go under the knife she had them specially moulded from silicon and fitted by prosthetics experts as part of an experiment to see what it would be like to have bigger bosoms. Read More »

Trinny and Susannah Undress the Nation: Weigh Your Breasts!

Style experts Trinny and Susannah tackle the nation’s breast assets tonight on ITV1 and discover that it’s weight – not size – that could solve the problem of finding a correctly fitting bra.

In an up close and personal consultation with design engineer Dr John Tyrer from Loughborough University, Susannah Constantine is taught how to weigh her 34D breasts – by dunking them in water.

Dr Tyrer is a measurement expert who’s wrestling with the prototype for a perfect bra, and he believes the most important factor is not cup size, its breast weight.

“If you’re an engineer or a designer the first thing you want to know is how heavy - how heavy are each of your breasts.”

The displaced water method was developed by Dr Tyrer in order to design new prototype bras that fit women more accurately than the current measuring and design procedure.

“Knowing the displaced amount of water tells us what the breast weight is. Then using a conversion factor we can then convert the weight of displaced water to the weight of the breast,” said Dr Tyrer.

Susannah learnt that her breasts weigh two pounds each, the equivalent of carrying around four bags of sugar. Read More »

Trinny and Susannah The Survival Guide

Trinny and Susannah, my heroes, have released a new book called The Survival Guide. The book blurb reads,

Trinny and Susannah show you how to look terrific every day of the year - and balance work, home, children, social life and your self.

and that sounds like just what I need.

I already own the girls What Not to Wear: The Rules, and it was worth every penny of the £5 I paid for it.

I think Trinny & Susannah: The Survival Guide - A Woman’s Secret Weapon for Getting Through the Year will have to be my very next purchase, or at least one for the Christmas list! If anyone out there has read it, I would love to hear your comments on the girls ideas…..
