You know how each episode of Scooby Doo follows roughly the same plot?
The gang will roll up at some house and hear stories of a supernatural terror haunting the place. After twenty minutes of chasing through caverns, tunnels and secret passageways, Fred or Velma will hit on a plan. Shaggy and Scooby will balls up that plan, but inevitably land on the ‘ghost’, stunning them enough to be apprehended. Finally the unmasking reveals a corrupt minor character who “would’ve gotten away with it if it wasn’t for those meddling kids and their dumb dog”. And the episode will end with a “rooby rooby doo”!
US TV drama, Viva Laughlin, starring Hugh Jackman is being pulled from American TV network, CBS after only two episodes.
The show was adapted from the popular British series, Blackpool, but the success obviously did not translate from one version to another.
The show had succeeded in generating lots of hype prior to launch, but acheived only a minuscule 1.2 rating in the 18-to-49 demographic for its premiere on Sunday.

Emmerdale actor, Nick Miles has admitted that when he read the script for the wedding of his character Jimmy King and Kelly Windsor (Adele Silva) he cried like a baby!
Nick told The Sun: “It’s the best episode I’ve ever read. I cried when I read the script as it was really, really moving. It’s a fantastic episode and a bit of a rollercoaster and for a change the groom is late.
“Things hot up when Jimmy is shown a photo of Kelly and Eli Dingle kissing and it descends into chaos as Eli is intent on messing things up.

BBC bosses have revealed that the fifth series of Doctor Who will not air in 2009 as planned, but a year later in 2010.
Instead, Tennant, will star in three Doctor Who specials, written by Russell T Davies, on BBC One in 2009.
BBC Fiction controller Jane Tranter said: “Doctor Who is one of the BBC’s best loved and most successful dramas.
“Its journey over the past three series has been one of the most ambitious and exciting that we have had, and I’m delighted to be able to confirm not only three exciting specials for 2009, but a fifth series in 2010. ”
Menna Richards, controller of BBC Wales, said: “This announcement is marvellous news for all involved, and more importantly for the programme’s amazing fan base and audience.”
However, David Tennant’s return as the doctor cannot be guaranteed, and a spokeswoman for Doctor Who said she was unable to comment whether Tennant would return for the 2010 series. I wonder if this means the way is clear for James Nesbitt then?
Results of a poll taken at the Edinburgh TV Festival suggest that more than half the population trusts TV producers less than it did a year ago.
Recent phone in scandals and fix claims leave 79% of people saying they would not enter a TV phone contest again.
Nearly half of the 2,216 people surveyed – 48% – said they did not trust television very much at all.
Reality TV shows such as Big Brother fared worst of all with reality 60% of those surveyed said the shows were “generally misleading as a result of severe and dishonest editing”.
I don’t mean to be alarmist, but there’s been an increasing number of stories in the media about viewers being defrauded by our largest television stations. Whether it’s phone voting scandals, television quizzes where the production assistants phone in and win or faking programmes by bending reality to fit an editorial angle.
We’ve had the Queen made to look like a stroppy diva by the BBC (off with their heads!) and now ITV has admitted to falsifying an Alzheimer patient’s death when the man died several days earlier. Read more & comment »

Jason confirmed: “I’m very excited about the whole project.”
