Take That’s Jason Orange Writes TV Show

Take That star, Jason Orange, has penned his first TV show, centering around a group of thirty something living in Notting Hill.

The hunk has already received interest from the BBC and Channel 4 in the show. It will be titled Popstars and Pilots and if picked up will run for ten week.

A source told the Daily Star: “The show is going to have some serious themes but there will be plenty of comedy elements, too. It will take a look at modern city life, interweaving storylines with songs and contemporary dance.”

Jason confirmed: “I’m very excited about the whole project.”

Jack Ryder Quits The Royal Before He Even Gets On Screen

We recently reported that Jack Ryder (better known as Jamie Mitchell from Eastenders), had landed a role in ITV’s new daytime drama, The Royal Today.

The Sun newspaper has reported today that Jack has quit his new role before his first episode has even aired.

Ryder reportedly made the decision because he felt “too young” in his new role and “out of depth” during rehearsals.

He told The Sun: “It’s been a difficult decision but it is the right one for me and the series.”

Doctor Who To Get New Companion

Doctor Who: David TennantThe BBC has revealed that the infamous Doctor Who will get a new companion in the fourth series of the hit sci-fi TV show, but there will still be room for Martha.

Martha (played by Freema Agyeman) will be moving off to spin-off show Torchwood for three episodes and then returning to the main Doctor Who show for the final half of the fourth series.

Emmerdale: Carrie Nicholls Sister Lexi To Make Shock Appearance

Emmerdale’s Carrie Nicholls was thrown deep into a quagmire of murder and mystery when she arrived in the village, but viewers will finally get a glimpse of her past with the sudden arrival of her stunning younger sister, Lexi.

TV newcomer Sally Oliver will debut in the ITV1 soap in July as Lexi turns up unannounced and ready to raise hell in the village.

Emmerdale: Linda Thorson Scared By Stunt

Emmerdale actress, Linda Thorson, has admitted that she suffered from vertigo and dizziness while filming a recent stunt on set.

Linda, who plays Rosemary King, took a dramatic fall over a bannister this week and she told The Sun just how difficult she found the ordeal.

She said:

Emmerdale: Marlon Dingle To Be Shot

Emmerdale’s dopey Marlon Dingle is to be shot this week by his brother Eli.

According to the ITV soaps website, the incident takes place after Marlon has a big win on a dog race but the bookie refuses to pay out. Marlon and Eli take matters into their own hands and decide to setal the money, but it all goes wrong when Eli accidentally shoots Marlon and he ends up lying in a pool of blood.

As police rush to the crime scene Eli has a decision to make. He must either sacrifice his freedom or leave his brother to die at the shop.

Emmerdale: New Love For Matthew King?

There may be love on the horizon for Emmerdale’s Matthew King, as Sharon Lambert sets out to find her next conquest.

After her mother Val ruined her wedding, Sharon is on the lookout for a new rich man and her attentions may just turn to Matthew, the most eligible bachelor in the dales.

Actress Victoria Hawkins, who plays Sharon, told ITV soaps: “If she was looking for someone rich then it would have to be one of the Kings.” Read more & comment »

Emmerdale: Sammy Winward Likes To Pole Dance!

Sammy Winward has just won another legion of male fans! She admitted this week that she likes to pole dance to keep fit.

Sammy, who plays Katie Sugden in Emmerdale told The Sun: “I haven’t had any lessons yet but I’ve taught myself a lot of moves, I can’t do the upside-down stuff but I can do all the spins - it really helps firm up different parts of my body.”

Winward added that feeling confident about her appearance is very important to her.

“I’m always walking around my house naked - I’ll walk around with no clothes on in front of my sister and my mum,” she said. “I feel happy with myself and that’s very important.”
