We cannot wait for the return of The Vampire Diaries later this month, especially after seeing this clip!

In the video Elena wakes up feeling slightly traumatised and breathless – not surprising considering the last thing she remembers is being stuck underwater in her car as Stefan saved Matt – and both of her favourite brothers are waiting by her bedside.

Stefan begins explaining what happened to the brunette beauty and assures her that Matt is alive and well, it’s just a pity the same can’t be said for her.

The Vampire Diaries season three is drawing to a close and and in the upcoming series finale, things are set to get tense and even violent between Damon and evil Alaric.

Having just gotten rid of one bad guy, there will be more violence in the episode titled ‘The Departed’, as Alaric tries to force Damon to tell him where Klaus is. In the promo below, the former good guy but now seriously ominous character also crosses paths with Elena’s brother Jeremy at a bar and tells him that they have a lot to discuss, the camera then pans to the massive stake he is holding….uh oh.

The Vampire Diaries is drawing to the end of it’s third season and as usual, it is not going to disappoint in terms of drama, clifhangers and OMG moments!

The finale of the third run will be titled “The Departed” and not only will it be edge of your seat exciting, but it will also contain an expensive and impressive underwater sequence….who knew vampires could swim?
