Radio One is reportedly considering replacing Chris Moyles with the annoying Vernon Kay, on their breakfast show next year.
A BBC source told The Daily Mail: “Vernon is extremely popular and the radio bosses love him. No formal offer has been put in yet – there’s still seven months left on Moyles’ deal after all – but he is definitely in the frame.”

TV presenter Vernon Kay has insisted that he has no worries about the future of ITV and insists that the channel is in safe hands.
Speaking at The Prince’s Trust spring ball, the perma tanned, perma grinning host said: “With Michael Grade at the helm, ITV is in safe hands, and with Peter Fincham in charge as well, they’ve got a great hierarchy to make sure that the success of the company is the forefront of all their ideas.”

Vernon Kay is teaming up with BBC Radio 1 breakfast regulars Comedy Dave, Aled, Dom and Carrie for a week in March while Chris Moyles tests his endurance climbing Mount Kilimanjaro.
Vernon will host the show from Monday 2 to Friday 6 March, and on Monday 9 March, between 6.30 and 10.00am
Moyles will spend seven days climbing the 19,341 feet to raise money for Red Nose Day 2009, reporting back to Vernon with the aches, pains and progress, via satellite, weekday mornings from 9.00am.

Vernon Kay had quite the weekend! He woke up on Saturday morning to find out that he was dead, or rather that some prankster has altered his wikipedia page to say that he had just died in a yachting accident.
The sick post read: ‘Vernon Kay sadly passed away after falling off a yacht on holiday in Greece on the 12th of September 2008.
‘Kay and his wife Tess Daly and their daughter Pheobe were on the yacht. Kay was spotted on his mobile by photographers before tragedy struck. He was waving to photographers and slipped and fell off of the edge of the yacht and was knocked unconscious.’ Read more & comment »

Well I’ve always had my own suspiscions about Vernon Kay’s sexuality and now it appears as though his wife, Tess Daly has her own concerns about her hubby’s tendencies.
Vernon told Closer magazine: “Tess caught me singing along to Calamity Jane the other day – she thinks I’m a bit gay!
“I know all the songs from High School Musical and Mary Poppins, including the dance routine to It’s A Jolly Holiday.
“I love all that stuff. My mum always said that If I’d have been born a girl, she would have called me Lydia – so now Tess always calls me that when she thinks I’m acting too much like a girl. Read more & comment »

TV presenter, Vernon Kay, has labelled movie star Jack Black as the worst celebrity he has ever interviewed!
Kay told Metro: “Jack Black. I interviewed him three times and he was terrible each time.
“He was rude, sulky, obnoxious, everything you don’t want in an interviewee. I don’t mind saying that because it’s all on tape.”

Vernon Kay, the TV presenter with the most improved haircut, has signed a two year presenting deal with ITV.
The 33 year old originally shot to fame as Channel 4, T4 presenter, but is now due to host a number of ITV shows this year, including Beat the Star.
As the title suggests, Beat The Star will see normal Joe Bloggs pit themselves against celebrities ina number of physical and mental challenges.
Simon Shaps, ITV’s director of entertainment, said Vernon Kay was “one of the most in-demand and popular entertainment presenters on British television”.
“I’m thrilled that we’ve been able to secure an exclusive partnership with him on ITV,” he added.

Vernon Kay has shot a pilot of the biggest game show in Germany, ‘Beat The Star.’
He travelled out to Germany and shot the gameshow in front of a group of German soldiers, who appeared to get Vernon’s humour….thats more than I can boast!
Vernon told The Sun : “We went to Germany to see how the show worked and filmed a pilot on their set.
“It will have celebrity guests each week — if I keep my fingers crossed and it gets snapped up.

Gameshows have always held a special place in the heart of British viewers, and this new series of Gameshow Marathon will celebrate many of the old favourites
Vernon Kay will be putting celebrity contestants on the starting block as they prepare to take a trip down memory lane in Vernon Kay’s Gameshow Marathon.
The shows featured in this series are: The Price is Right, Blockbusters, Blankety Blank, The Golden Shot, Name that Tune, Mr & Mrs, Bullseye, and Play Your Cards Right
This week the featured show is The Price is Right – so our celebrities will be asked to ‘Come on Down’ and join in the fun.
ITV1 Network Saturday 7 April 7:40 PM to 8:40 PM
Each week the winning contestant will go straight through to the quarter-final, Mr and Mrs, then the three with the highest scores go through to the semi-final, Bullseye, the series will culminate in a grand final when the two best-performing celebrities battle it out for the title.
Each of the shows will feature the original sets, a mountain of ‘super, smashing, great’ prizes and of course those all important catchphrases!
