The Branning family are in for a dramatic Christmas, what with deep dark secrets being revealed, and the death of Branning brother Derek…
However, on the flip side, Tanya Branning gets good news next week when her latest MRI scan comes back giving her a clean bill of health, and of course, there’s her wedding to Max on Christmas Eve to look forward to.
And in today’s Sun TV magazine, Jake Wood and Jo Joyner, who of course play Max and Tanya, have been talking about their characters’ dramatic Christmas and they also discussed the ever so long running Kat Moon (Jessie Wallace) affair plotline, which of course will see one of the Branning me being unmasked at Kat’s lover in the episode that airs on December 20th.

I have to say, EastEnders bosses have done an annoyingly good job of keeping the identity of Kat Moon’s (Jessie Wallace) lover under wraps…
The whodunit – or the Who’s Still Doing It I should say – plotline began with five suspects, namely, all three Branning brothers, Max, Derek and Jack, as well as Michael Moon and Ray Dixon.
Ray (Chucky Venn) was eliminated a few weeks ago now, and while many fans of the show still reckon it’ll turn out to be Jack (Scott Maslen) after the whole ‘I Love You’ message written on a bandage, I became convinced it’d be Max (Jake Wood).
However, as Michael Moon (Steve John Shepherd) has been more than normally shifty of late, and as his wife Janine (Charlie Brooks) suspects he’s having an affair, he’s surely a good contender… Read more & comment »

Fans of EastEnders may be pleased to hear that in the episode which airs on September 14th, we’re finally going to discover the identity of the man who’s at the heart of the great Who’s Bonking Kat Moon? mystery, even though that storyline has somewhat petered out of late…
However, one of the remaining potential candidates, Max, Jack and Derek Branning and Michael Moon – Ray Dixon (Chucky Venn) was ruled out a couple of weeks ago – will be exposed as Kat’s lover.
As we’ve reported previously, Jack (Scott Maslen) is the viewers’ fave to turn out to be the phantom Kat diddler, and Derek (Jamie Foreman) is considered the most unlikely, so I guess that leaves just Michael (Steve John Shepherd) and Max (Jake Wood) in the running.
However, given that EastEnders’ writers threw up a curve ball on a previous whodunit – that is, having Darren Miller turn out to be baby George Trott’s dad – I’m not sure I’m ready to discount Derek entirely… Read more & comment »

As fans of EastEnders will know, in last night’s trip to Walford, it was revealed that Ray Dixon (Chucky Venn) ISN’T Kat Moon’s mystery man, which of course leaves four suspects…
It could be any of the Branning brothers, Max (Jake Wood) Jack (Scott Maslen) or Derek (Jamie Foreman) or new dad Michael Moon (Steve John Shepherd).
A recent poll on the show’s official website put Jack Branning in top place as most likely to be Kat’s (Jessie Wallace) lover, but I’m not convinced…
I suspect it’ll be either Max or Michael, for the simple reason that there’s more drama to be had there.
Both Derek and Jack are single, so it wouldn’t be as complex for them to be the men doing the whole of the Moon… Read more & comment »

In the episode of EastEnders that airs a week tomorrow – Thursday, July 19th – Kat Moon’s mystery man tries to lure her into meeting up with him again, and to that end, he sends her the keys to a flat where he says they can meet up without anyone spotting them…
However, Kat (Jessie Wallace) has of course been fighting with her inner Jiminy Cricket over the affair, knowing she’s betraying her doormat husband Alfie (Shane Richie) yet again, but seemingly powerless to stop the elastic in her knickers from giving way of its own volition.
As we saw last night, when the mystery man – who I’m convinced is Ray Dixon (Chucky Venn) not from insider knowledge but just deduction – sent her a phone to call him on, she at first tried to avoid using it, hiding it in the bin…
But when Alfie chose to watch telly with the kids rather than spend an hour going where every man has gone before, twice, a carnally neglected Kat rang Mr Lover Lover instead. Read more & comment »

As fans of EastEnders will surely know, there’s about to be a new whodunit storyline when Kat Moon embarks on an affair with a man from the Square.
And yes, I am a poet and I do in fact know it.
However, it seems that Jessie Wallace, who of course plays Kat, has no idea who her character’s mystery man is as yet, and like the rest of us, she “can’t wait” to find out!
There are of course five suspects in the (bed) frame, and they are, Ray Dixon, Michael Moon and all of the Branning brothers, Derek, Max and Jack though for some reason, Jack isn’t in the above image… a clue or just photo logistics? Mmm the thick plottens… Read more & comment »
