Chris Tarrant has denied all rumours that he is set to quit quiz show Who Wants To Be A Millionaire in 2010.
During a TV interview yesterday Chris implied that he would be leaving the show next year but show bosses say that his comments were misinterpreted.
“Chris is not quitting the show and it was not his intention to imply that,” said a spokesperson.
Chris Tarrant has revealed that he is planning to leave ITV quiz show ‘Who Wants To Be A Millionaire’ next year.
Chris has been hosting the gameshow since its first episode aired in 1998 but is now planning to make a move and concentrate on other TV work such as his new show ‘Colour Of Money.’
Chris told This Morning: “I’m still doing Millionaire until 2010 so we’ve had a pretty good run with that.”
A brand new series of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? kicks off on ITV1 with a celebrity special featuring the stars of Coronation Street, the first of three celebrity charity specials.
The first brave pair to face host Chris Tarrant in the hotseat will be Samia Smith and Jennie McAlpine, the Street’s Maria Sutherland and Fiz Brown. Samia is playing to raise money for Cancer Research UK while Jennie hopes to win for the Mood Swings Network, an organisation providing support to people with mood disorders. Read more & comment »
