Tamara Ecclestone tells Closer magazine about her love of kebabs and her blinging dream wedding.
She’s been dating her stockbroker boyfriend Omar Khyami for two years – and, even though she’s still waiting for a proposal, Tamara Ecclestone says she’s now planning her dream wedding.
Last year, Tamara’s mum Slavica, 53 – who gained £750million in her divorce from Formula 1 boss Bernie, 81 (estimated to be worth £2.5billion) – paid £12million for her sister Petra’s wedding in Italy. Now Tamara is wondering how she could top the bash – which included an £80,000 Vera Wang wedding dress and performances by The Black Eyed Peas and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
Tamara, 27 – who lives in Chelsea, London, with Omar, 37, and their five dogs, Alvin, Puggle Socky, Buster, Hob Nob and Duke – says: “Petra’s wedding was the best I’ve ever been to. I’d like to have one abroad like hers. I wouldn’t know what to do to make it as glamorous! It’ll have to be really bling.
“My dream is to have Lionel Richie – and All Night Long as the first song. I’m so corny. I’ve already lived with Omar for a while and we both really want to get married, so it will happen either this year or next. I’m just waiting for him to pop the question.”
Last month, it was revealed that Omar had been jailed for 18 months as a teen for his role in selling stolen Rolex and Cartier watches, but Tamara says the news didn’t come as a shock, as reported.
Tamara – who has her own reality show, Tamara Ecclestone: Billion $$ Girl, and is currently auctioning her designer clothes on eBay for charity through www.tamaragivesback.com – says: “It happened 18 years ago and I think everyone’s entitled to a past. I’ve always known about it. We tell each other everything.
“Omar always takes care of me – even on drunken nights out. He always gets us kebabs on the way home. They taste so good with extra chilli sauce when you’re hammered!”
In September, Tamara will be moving from her Chelsea pad to a £45million mansion in Kensington Palace Gardens. Although the house includes a beauty salon, an underground nightclub with a 7ft aquarium and a dog spa, Tamara’s favourite part is the bowling alley.
Tamara says: “I’m so excited about my new pad. I love bowling and I’ve installed my own alley, so I don’t have to wear other people’s manky bowling shoes!”
Her sister Petra, 22, recently bought TV producer Aaron Spelling’s £52million former home in LA. When it was first listed in 2009, it was the most expensive property on the market – featuring a beauty salon, grand dining room and several gift-wrapping rooms.
Tamara adds: “I still haven’t been to see Petra’s new place, but I’ve heard she’s kept the infamous
