Since releasing her latest album ‘1989’ recently, Taylor Swift is experiencing a lot of success with a record that has seen her style change quite a bit.
Swift has gone from the country songstress to pop star and it’s a transition we’re growing to like, especially with tracks such as ‘Shake It Off’ and ‘Blank Space’.
Over the years the songstress has developed a reputation for using her own relationship experiences in her songwriting and she’s especially become famous for penning songs about her one time boyfriend Harry Styles.
Speaking to ASOS Taylor insisted that writing from personal experience is what makes her songs so relatable and popular and she’s not about to change it any time soon.
“The songs I’ve written about my moments of humiliation, embarrassment or devastation have gotten me the greatest sense of clarity.” she explained.
“If my life had been turbulence free, no bumps in the road at all, maybe my music would be more beige, maybe the stadiums wouldn’t be so full and the mantle would be a little more empty.”
We don’t know how she does it, perhaps she’s thick skinned but the songstress takes quite a bit of criticism from haters and detractors and during the same interview the ‘Shake It Off’ star spoke about whether or not male opinions of her matter in comparison to that of her female fans.
“When I’m getting dressed, it’s always based on what my friends will think. They are my number one priority and the opinions of girls are more important to me at this point in my life,” she continued.
Taylor is having a lot of success with her latest single ‘Blank Space’ which is lifted from her current album ‘1989’. Check out the official video below.
