Taylor Swift is currently on tour promoting her hugely successful fourth studio album ‘Red’ which the songstress released in 2012.
While on tour we also know that she’s also hard at work on her fifth studio album which we expect to be released next year and she has opened up about writing her new material.
Taylor Swift has had an incredible year once again though. She bagged four awards at the American Music Awards and is even up for nomination at the 56th Annual GRAMMY Awards next month.
You may remember last month Taylor Swift had spoken about how she was “slightly terrified for this year to end” because as always it will bring change.
Speaking with Billboard the singer revealed that collaborating with others on new recordings is something she’s enjoying.
She said: “I’m really loving collaboration right now. I see it as a bit of an apprenticeship. I want to be around people who love writing songs and have done it for years.”
The beauty added: “Every time I’m in a studio I’m learning, like how to build a drum track, and getting a new perspective on things. It’s so thrilling to keep learning on your fifth album.”
Swift also hinted that her new material may take on a different sound than what her fans are used to hearing and explained:
“As soon as [an album] comes out, I’m figuring out what the next one will be. It’s gotten to the point where each one is a reinvention, which is what I like best. I like it when it sounds new and people don’t know where you’re going to go next.”
Taylor Swift also recently turned 24 and she celebrated this by making a huge donation to the Nashville Symphony in Tennessee.
After learning that the city orchestra had been struggling with finances the beauty donated $100,000 (£66,700) to help out! Generous or what!
