Taylor Swift isn’t afraid of bringing special guests with her along to concerts. Most recently she brought out former X Factor UK contestant Cher Lloyd to perform one of Lloyd’s own hits ‘Want U Back’.
Last night at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles Ms Swift brought out another guest, another friend as she called her.
Ellie Goulding, who is currently number one in the UK with her latest track ‘Burn’ joined Swift on stage in front of a packed Staples Centre to perform her smash hit ‘Anything Could Happen’ which is taken from her second album ‘Halcyon’.
Before rising from below the stage she was introduced by Taylor: “Los Angeles: we’ve had some really good times together, we’ve had some really fun surprises and that’s not really a tradition I’m willing to stop any time soon.
“How would you feel if there was a special surprise guest for you?”
After a roar of approval from the crowd Swift continued: “Oh good, I was hoping that you would say that because this would be so awkward if you were not excited about the fact that we have an incredible, wonderful, insanely talented, incredibly cool artist about to come out and sing.
“She’s not from around here, she’s actually from the UK. She’s one of my favourite artists, she’s also one of my friends. Hey Los Angeles, Ellie Goulding is here!”
Taking to Twitter after the duet both stars said: So.. Anything could happen at one of our LA shows.
