Taylor Swift released her latest album ‘1989’ a few weeks ago and already it’s proving to be a huge success for the songstress.
The latest single, ‘Blank Space,’ which is the follow-up to ‘Shake It Off’ is continuing that sales brilliance on the Billboard chart and as a result the star confessed this week that she almost forgot her own birthday in all the excitement.
Billboard are reporting that ‘Blank Space’ is maintaining its lead on its Hot 100 chart after topping the chart for two weeks in a row.
In the past seven days alone the record has achieved 302,000 downloads and 14.2 million streams in the United States alone keeping Meghan Trainor (‘All About That Bass’) and Hozier (‘Take Me To Church’) at bay.
The past few weeks have been incredibly busy for the songstress, so busy in fact that she actually hasn’t made any plans for her 25th birthday which is coming up (December 13th).
“I was so geared up for the album launch and so excited about it; it was two years in the making and so in my mind I’m like, ‘Birthdays happen every year, album launches only happen every few years’.” she explained.
She went on to add that: “I went and did that and I’m still on this promotional tour, so it’s so far back on my list of priorities that I’m turning 25.”
It makes sense if we’re honest, she does have a lot going on and she can celebrate her birthday at any time of the year – she’s Taylor Swift.
Taylor also spoke about how being so busy all the time isn’t really a bad thing because it means that you’re actually enjoying what you do.
“Isn’t it so good if you’re so busy actually living your life that you don’t even really realise that you have a birthday coming up.”
The ‘Shake It Off’ beauty does plan to have a ‘big party’ thought when things calm down a little.
