Ted Danson Joins ‘Bored To Death’

Fresh from his his Emmy-nominated appearance on US drama “Damages,” Ted Danson has accepted a lead role in HBO’s comedy pilot “Bored to Death.”

The show centres on Jonathan, a struggling thirtysomething writer with a drinking problem in Brooklyn who, following a heart breaking breakup with his girlfriend, decides to emulate his heroes from the novels of Raymond Chandler and Dashiell Hammett. He takes out a classified ad pretending to be a private detective.

Danson will play Jonathans friend, a magazine editor.
