On their way to Sun Hill, PC Diane Noble (Kaye Wragg), Sergeant Nikki Wright (Gillian Taylforth) and DI Samantha Nixon (Lisa Maxwell) witness young woman, Reshna Dewan (Pooja Shah) fall from a walkway on the Cole Lane Estate. After rushing to her aid, Reshna informs the officers that she was pushed. While paying a visit to Reshna’s family, Sam, Nikki and Diane discover her husband, Naz (Damian Asher) slumped in a drunken heap, with a slit wrist, clinging onto a knife. Naz manages to admit that Reshna left him because of his drinking problem tells Sam that “it’s his fault”. Could this be a confession to his wife’s attack?

The following day, Nikki and Diane are called to a disturbance at the Dewan’s flat. On discovering the flat empty, the officers are concerned to learn that she went missing from her friends’ house and the race is on to find her.

Elsewhere, PC Tony Stamp (Graham Cole) deals with Julia Price (Rachel Fielding) who confesses she has attacked a man with a golf club, after he tried to steal her car. Diane and DC Mickey Webb (Chris Simmons) question Gary Trent (Liam McKenna) after Julia identifies him as the thief and he claims he won the car during a poker match against Julia’s husband, Martin Price (Simon Slater). After further investigation, Mickey and DC Terry Perkins (Bruce Byron) realise Martin was conned by Gary which prompts Terry, Mickey, Tony and PC Dan Casper (Chris Jarvis) to go on an undercover job at the pub to see if they can catch Gary in the act…
