The Blacklist is set to kick off this evening on NBC and its one of the few new shows that we’re really looking forward to.
The new drama follows the Raymond Reddington who is a wanted fugitive and is on the FBI’s top ten most wanted list. He heads on down to the FBI and turns himself in, but there’s a price to pay.
On tonight’s pilot episode, Raymond Reddington hands himself into the FBI, he tells them that he will help them catch a long-thought-dead terrorist, Ranko Zamani under one condition. The condition is that he only speaks to Agent Elizabeth Keen… and what a first day on the job it’s going to be for the FBI profiler.
Agent Keen is fresh out of Quantico and it seems Reddington has had his eye on her for a while as he points out how she has lost the highlights out of her hair.
In one of the scenes of tonight’s show, Keen questions why she is being involved in his little plan, it’s her first day on the job, she isn’t special. However, he tells her that she is “very special”.
Over the years, Reddington has compiled a Blacklist of politicians, mobsters, spies and international terrorists. He’ll help the FBI catch each and every one of them, but under the condition that Keen is his partner in crime.
In one of the promo videos that has been released, we see Keen on her first day on the job. She wakes and gets ready to leave the house, but as she does she’s met by agents outside of her house and a helicopter circulating the area.
She’s told: “Agent Keen, I need you to come with me right away”.
It’s then that we get to meet Reddington and he tells the FBI: “I speak only with Elizabeth Keen”.
“Do you find it odd that Redington surrendered himself the day you started working as a profiler?” Keen is asked.
She explains: “It suggests he was waiting for me. He thinks I can be easily manipulated. The man obviously doesn’t know me very well”.
In another scene we see a lorry slamming into a car that Keen is in, but she manages to get out alive.
The Blacklist premieres this evening at 10/9c on NBC.
