The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe is the most likely recent movie to become a Christmas classic in years to come according to a recent poll.

More than 3,000 parents took part in the survey which asked participants to select their favourite festive movies to celebrate the launch of the new premium family movie channel Disney Cinemagic HD. Respondents were asked to choose their films from a shortlist compiled by a panel of media and TV experts and the findings provide a unique insight into the nation’s viewing habits over the yuletide season.

Other movies which parents think will make it to Christmas classic status include Finding Nemo and Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl.
