THE EXECUTION OF GARY GLITTER
Set in an imaginary Britain in which the death penalty has been re-introduced, this feature-length drama confronts viewers with the possible consequences of capital punishment in the UK. The first person to be tried under the new Capital Crimes Against Children legislation is Paul Gadd, aka 1970s glam rock star Gary Glitter.
Shot in the style of a documentary, the film charts how the changes in the law were brought about. Through the compelling narrative by writer Rob Coldstream and Hilton McRae’s superb performance as Paul Gadd, this film explores how society deals with its most reviled offenders, and whether capital punishment has a place in modern society.

The hypocracy of human beings stuns me, Michael Jackson would have never been the subject of such a show, or R-Kelly even. It seems like its ok to tamper with children if you are in vogue.
I am not defending Gadd, he is despicable but intially he was found to have images on a computer, jackson and kelly had done a physicall deed yet society rightly focused outrage on gadd yet chose to live in ignorance about the other two..
