The Girls Aloud Party

The UK’s favourite girl band is to star in a unique one off special on ITV. The Girls Aloud Party will see the group host their very own festive party – and everyone is invited.

Nadine Coyle, Nicola Roberts, Cheryl Cole, Sarah Harding and Kimberley Walsh will perform some of their biggest hits as well as some new album tracks on this special programme. The show will also feature some unique collaborations with other artists, giving viewers the chance to see the girls as never before.

Sarah Harding says: “2008 has been a great year for us all and what better way to round it off than with a festive special? The show will be a Girls Aloud Christmas party and loads of fun. We can’t wait.”

The glamorous girl group has captured the hearts of the nation since forming in 2002. Their most recent number one, The Promise, from their new album Out Of Control has sold over 150,000 copies to date. The girls have become one of the most successful bands of the decade with a record breaking 19 consecutive top ten hits since their debut single Sound Of The Underground.

As well as their musical careers, the girls have recently been seen on ITV2 on The Passions Of Girls Aloud, a series which saw them pursue other lifelong ambitions. Cheryl Cole has also been attracting audiences of up to 11 million viewers on the latest series of The X Factor where she appears as a judge and mentor.

Guy Freeman, ITV’s Controller, Music and Events, said: “We are delighted to welcome Girls Aloud back to the channel where they began – an amazing 19 top ten singles later.”
